Reporting from Lower Bergen County. It's still coming down. I just measured 14" on my deck. That's not a drift. The snow has settled on it pretty evenly. I didn't measure out front, but it covers the bottom step of my stoop. (Let's see how many people ask me what a "stoop" is!) The wind is still whipping things up pretty good. +++++ EDIT: I was wrong. The snow is covering the *two* bottom steps of my stoop. I took a few measurements around the front yard, and have 13 to 18 inches so far. And it's still coming down.
yonkers in 1hr might see 2"/hr for a little while. lga is going to go over 24" i am guessing. this is going to be a long ride. many records will fall today
I'm late to the party was out snow blowing,,getting a heads start,,,did my house and my 2 neighbors,,,,its miller / kettle on time ! What's the latest FJF you getting shut out ? How long do u think the heavy stuff lasts ? Going to check out some other sights be back in a bit
jersey city, monroe woodbury heavy snow right now. band over jersey city is huge. @CBG this is going for another 8 hrs atleast. i think i am going to get shut out. maybe 3". its struggling to get north and will turn out before the good stuff can get me. probably will miss by less than 10 miles.amazing how sharp the cutoff is. thats the high pressure i was worried about.
@jonnyd thats the difference. you are slightly south of me and approx 30 miles east. i am betting you get 6-10 where i will struggle to get 3. is that saved?compared to @Cman60
FJF I'm reading that 3 computer models are calling for more snow next week,,,can you see this or let me if this is being called for about what day are we talking ?

cbg, checked the gfs,euro and the mighty nam. nothing for next week. temps warm up, maybe some rain around wednesday. next day to watch is around feb 2, gfs has it, too far out for the euro.for now its just something to see. monday it will be in range for the euro. @CBG coming down good by you right now?

Brothers! I have finally reached the Great Hall. I departed my land at sunrise and traveled many rôst. The blizzard was fierce and slowed my trek. Through the snowy winds I could hear the Ice Giants begin to wake as I neared the end of my journey. We are fortifying the defenses as I speak. These monsters will attack at nightfall. FJF its really hard to tell,,,I went out and shoveled around 8 or so And would say i had 4 plus inches then I Went out 2 hours ago and snow blew ,,,,and there was definitely more than I had previously had shoveled,,,,,but with the wind it was hard to gauge . I mean I did my deck and almost entire backyard for the dog because she is the anti FJF and hates the snow lol but deck and yard are currently buried again,,,I'm going to gear up again and go out in 10 minutes,,,,,I hope some of this does make it up to you buddy
