I've found that people who ski get pathological about wanting MOAR SNOW. Especially if they don't drive a lot and just take the train to and from work.

Personally I feel if it's going to snow it better be on the weekend like this one, I want nothing to do with storms while I'm driving to and from work. Especially on the hilly roads near where I live.

Br4d, that was one of those experiences you take with you the rest of your life. I agree that I felt we had the entire city of Boston to ourselves. I remember going to a jazz club on Boylston st. (Rick's Casablanca if memory serves..) and because that group couldn't get out of Boston, performed for free. The club was pretty much empty and I actually got to chat with the performers. It was something I'll never forget. Northeastern Univ. was shutdown for the entire week! Good times as I had just about everything needed to survive a Boston Blizzard. ;)

The Blizzard of '76 was something! I remember walking on snow drifts so high that people put flags on their car radio antennas to keep them from stepping thru their snow covered windshields. For you youngins, car radios used to have antennas. LOL

ran my generator sunday, 4 pulls and it cranked right up. the key is to turn off the gas line valve and let it runout of gas. nothing worse that gas sitting in a carb. it evaporates and leaves gunk.

That's exactly what I did with mine. I had put Stabil in it and ran it until the gas ran out. The Ariens cranked up via electric start but after 10mins or so, I was able to start it via hand pull without issue.

@CBG you are looking at close to a foot, this thing really came back north. i wish i held to my beliefs on the warm water keeping it on the coast. lessons learned, you can't live and die with each model run.

    Storms are to be celebrated.

Thor is the weather and fertility God. His divine weapon, capable of crushing mountains and also restoring life, is the lightning hammer Mjolnir. Mjoll means crusher and new snow, hamarr is rooted in the Sanskrit word for tool and thunderbolt. With this weapon he guards the universe from the devourers, giants, forces of chaos and destruction.

Now rest your worries. For if it floods, Thor must be looking to draw out the monster sea serpent Jormungandr. He makes the wind blow to guide our longships, if it is too ferocious to sail then it is to sink the ships of our enemies. Do not fret for the elderly for only cowards live to be old, the brave die in battle. Now rejoice in the snow for it is for his step-son Ullr, the God of skiing. Or he is using the cover of the blizzard to kill the ice giants.

Stay in your house and hope for your power but ready your axe, perhaps Thor will let the snow lift and an ice giant will knock upon your door!
