hey guys..hope all is well. The next 7 to 10 days may be record breaking in a very boring...yet really comfortable way.

Thunderstorms will come through tonite and temps will cool...and stay cool. While im almost 100 percent sure temps will not hit 90 during the next 7-10 days there is a very good chance they may not even hit 85 for areas north of Central Jersey to Maine.

The typhoon setup over Japan has set up a ridge for us that well....I cant remember this time of the year. Areas north of Jersey may not hit 80 most days...SO ENJOY.

This thread should be pinned at the top of this forum. There are 8 threads up there and 1 of them gets regular posts. I don't get it.

Depends on how you use the forum. I only use a bookmark that goes straight to my list of subscribed threads

You know Abyz....I always thought the same thing damn it. Not because of my involvement but lets face it....a lot of us meet in here.

Better off. We like staying under the radar.

Speaking of radar...just looked at the 2 week temps....this is crazy. After this weekend of not hitting 85...we start out next week around 80 before being in the mid 70s for highs....HIGHS....for about 5 days. Temps at night get down to 50. Looked at the Jersey shore temps (ocean temps) and they are between 70 at Sandy Hook to around 74 at Cape May to the south. Have a feeling that Jersey will do no better then that all summer. Expect temps in the ocean to get into the high 60s and stay there before dropping in September.

Not a good swimming summer...but great temps.

Hey CBG....this..from the NWS for north jersey...southern ny state and Conn the city and L.I.

    • Monday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65.
    • Tuesday Mostly sunny, with a high near 86.
    • Tuesday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65.
    • Wednesday Partly sunny, with a high near 82.
    • Wednesday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60.
    • Thursday Partly sunny, with a high near 83.
    • Thursday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61.
    • Friday Partly sunny, with a high near 85.
After a weekend with on and off showers and thunderstorms...the week should be perfect.

EDIT: After reading that, I was wondering why the nights are mostly cloudy if its supposed to be a perfect week. Constant reinforcements of cool air...which could change and spark off a shower or 2 at night...but doubt it. Should be beautiful. Look at those temps! Below normal temps continue to be the trend of this summer.

Route 17 had flooding in both directions around 3:30 or so. Southbound was worse, looked like a foot of standing water.

just read the write up on the NWS page...the front that is supposed to clear all of this crap out is crawling now...so..its very possible CBG that it might take Wednesday to clear it out bud. Sorry...very sorry...but Wednesday will have an entire package of crap to sun....with perhaps...PERHAPS one more blast of tstorms to rid us of this air mass that has had a grip on us for almost 2 weeks. Not the worst weather because no 100 degree high humidity days but still, it seems like Thursday is the perfect day of the week and the start of better summer days.

Will check tonite to see if something can light a fire under the front that is moving 10mph in the slow lane.
