the messenger cman just the messenger!!! sorry bud. Sussex county NJ reporting a mix of snow/sleet and rain..and its moving southeast.
Jay,,,no snow where I am right now,,insert giggles,,,,,,,but is rock land gonna get anything that sticks ?,,,keep em coming buddy
could be a dusting...but CBG..gotta tell ya...this is pretty funny. 80 degrees 48 hours ago and now? Heavy snow falling..and I mean heavy. The ground is still too warm/wet for it to stick but its starting to stick on grassy surfaces. Only have several more hours of this but parts of PA did get 2 or 3 inches from this on APRIL 15TH. Temp 35...heavy snow..windy...april 15th.
Wow Jay I had to clean the ice on my windshield today. It is April 15th. Unheard of. How does the summer look? Any risk of hurricanes hitting our area?
Wake up and there is a dusting of snow on cars in Boston. From 70 to really windy and cold just like that.
lol...nuts..really nuts. At least its easy to remember from here on..tax day=snow. Nuts. And that is officially it..nothing in the long term other then below normal temps for a bit.
Good news is that El Nino has formed in the pacific and that generally means less hurricanes for the southeast and east coast here. Shears the storms out when the come off the coast of Africa and by the time they get to Cuba..they USUALLY never get stronger. That has been the case in El Nino years...so hopefully that will be the case. Havent really checked long term summer yet but going by past big winters and cold temps...I would think not as hot and a bit more rain then usual. Will study it this weekend and see what NOAA is saying too.
Monday, 71, bright and sunny, Spring is here! Tuesday, 52, pouring all day, walking dogs in the rain sucks - especially when one just won't do her business because she's a water dog and the other one is shivering 10 minutes into the walk. Wednesday morning, 26, icy snow cover on the ground because it was waterlogged from yesterday. Bleah.
This winter would have to throw one more changeup before it ended. Even today..I mean..too cold..I hate the cold. That was one of the more dramatic 72 hours in the history of weather. By me we hit 80 and sun..then 24 hours later 50s and pouring with strong winds..then last night around 8pm looked at the radar and told my boys it will change to snow in the next couple of hours. They laughed as if I was pulling it out my ass but the radar showed this incredible drop in temps from Canada marching straight towards the east coast. Areas were changing over faster then you could blink..and then around 11pm it was pouring snow. NUTS. Add to that it could have been MUCH worse. The EURO model 24 hours before showed a storm forming on the Arctic front and dropping over 5 inches of snow here and then over 10 in Cape Cod. The setup was ripe for this but the next run quickly corrected the speed of the front that it would happen...but well out to sea. We are done Brad....its over.
was a total white out for a few minutes this morning around midnight. I was by MSG and it was like you were in Siberia
winter beats our asses for 3 good months, goes away for a week than comes back for a night and flicks us in the ear. just to remind us what it did. but the fishing pole and travel box are in the back of the truck for some impromptu trout fishing on the streams to and from work, the oldest girl started soccer last week and they even got a few laps in at the bmx track last sunday. winter can take its long break, its time for the best weather of the year cool mornings and comfortable afternoons
A just in case for anyone with plans but April going out with a bang of rain...starts out showery on Tuesday and then Wednesday...later in the day...downpour with heavy rain until Thursday morning. Total rain amounts from Tuesday to Thursday morning looking to be in the range of 3 to 5". Could be some flooding.
i've been watching that system for a week now. been working on a bmx track, that rain might undo alot of work
