no..no..no generators CBG..lol...I think right now the precip is outrunning the temps for us..places like binghamton NY have switched over but think the precip will beat it. Now, the line of tstorms is on its way..hit or miss where the heaviest line sets up.
Temps dropping big time west and north. Binghamton was in the 50s this morning..now 28 and snowing. Just to the south east, Scranton PA 46 and rain.
In fact..CMAN..if you are around..it looks like that thunder and cold front is right outside your door?
Falling apart faster then a Sanchez sideline pass FJF..great pick up. The phasing of the storm is sucking all the precip right out west of us...see it just drying up? Thats why back end snows? Overrated sir!! Still, I think we might have a few surprises during the night...but not from the main part of the storm. I know thats what you are rooting for..and looking very good right now.
Now here is a great radar guys..you can see a line west of FJF all the way down towards philly..that line once it comes through is the cold front...should be heavy rains and wind. RADAR: http://www.wunderground.com/radar/r...&lightning=0&smooth=0&showlabels=1&rainsnow=0
VERY impressive line of storms now cutting through Sussex County N.J. This line is about 200 miles long.
For the hell of it..will post my temps to see when the cold front comes through..and how fast the temps fall. 645 pm--------- 54 degrees
Line to our west has rebuilt FJF..and you are about an hour away from some downpours bud..maybe thunder. CBG around 2 hours away..maybe less.
Baltimore 60 right now as the cold front begins to move through..they will be one of the places that drops a total of near 40 degrees by midnight.
right now 36f. see that line jay, doesn't appear to be anything behind it. gonna run the dog in about 30 minutes and than window watch. beware the black ice on the commute tomorrow everyone
Nothing happening right now in Bergen County. I don't know the temps, but I'm sitting here with the windows open.
Estimated time for line to go through. Pouring here in Passaic county RP..give it another half hour bud..its coming. FJF. expect back precip to fill in on and off overnight. Again, nothing big but that cold front will squeeze any moisture out of the atmosphere...that is a helluva cold front. Heavy rain here right..no wind.but that will come after this moves through.
FJF..I know you are looking at the same radar I am..notice the first band thats coming through by me right now. Check over by Allentown PA...that is the cold air there...must be coming down in buckets there right now. Here is the RADAR FJF and I are looking at. http://www.wunderground.com/radar/radblast.asp?num=6&delay=15&scale=1.00&noclutter=0&ID=DIX&type=N0R&lat=40.68090057&lon=-74.49140167&label=Stirling, NJ&showstorms=0&showlabels=1&rainsnow=0&MR=1 Refreshes on its own but every hour or so..hit the refresh button.
just missed seeing that. mistimed the dog walk by about 15 minutes. burrrrrrrrr thats cold rain. 34f now. dropped 2 degrees in an hour. not bad. not worried about this one at all. although the kids might get a delay tomorrow so the sanders can run before the buses start moving thanks for the link jay, still pouring there?
I don't want to jinx anything, but we had a short heavy burst for a couple of minutes, and now nothing. There is a little runoff heading down the hill, but street is actually starting to dry up. I was just outside for a little while. The air is very damp, but it's not cold at all. Tee shirt weather right now.
hey jay, looking forward, did the gfs show the monday storm missing us south and the wednesday storm missing us north? holding steady at 34f, looking good here
It's raining now, but not hard. I don't know when it started. Someone was blasting Jimi Hendrix, and I couldn't hear anything else. Okay. It was me.
