Rain? RAIN? I'D FUCKING KILL SOMEBODY FOR SOME RAIN It started raining early in the afternoon, then it turned into snow, and it hasn't stopped. Possibly 15 inches by 7 AM. I am so not working tomorrow.
Nah, it just rained a lot. 4 inches of snow in the NC higher elevations, above 5k'. But just rain for me. Lots of trees and flowers in full bloom, mild temps, and the rain went away late in the day; its really nice outside.
When I saw watching the doppler on the weather report yesterday I was thinking about you guys up in Central NY. It was all green down by NYC then there was a little band of purple (mixed) and then the rest of NY was white... Sorry dudes.
Sorry..didnt follow this one...saw only rain for our area..but some areas got some big time snows. Another huge rainstorm coming Thursday/Friday. Sunday Jack named this thread "n stuff" so heres your stuff...Kings Speech" great great great movie. Left lane drivers going the speed limit...what the f? Really..are you just arrogant jerk offs? or stupid? both?
We could make it happen. If I had 24 hours to live...20 hours of high quality with the family...and 4 running jerkoffs off the road. Oh..and that storm that I promised rain for has been moved up to Wednesday night/Thursday...and now includes the snow/rain word in it. Havent studied it at all...cant see how it would snow. Regardless...our northern friends may get hit again. Will keep you updated.
They've declared a state of emergency in Broome County until 5 PM. Which is good because I turned off my phone last night to make sure nobody could call me into work.
This truly is going to be a disaster for many in the Northeast. Much flooding is occuring up and down on all rivers. My location is rising fast where I work. Add to that, many major snowfall totals up north like GD stated above...with a huge rainstorm for most scheduled for Thursday/Thursday night?..forget about it... the flooding thats going to occur this weekend. This has disaster written all over it. Rivers will still be high and then add on to that a storm like the one thats approaching from the west. This will take a week to recover from for North Jersey Rivers. This is almost automatic. Here is the predicted rainfall map for the next storm (some of that will be snow for the far north). Incredible: http://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/nwprod/analysis/namer/gfs/00/images/gfs_p60_108l.gif
Cant promise that my man...long term for the early spring is cooler than normal temps. Not good news. Even worse news: FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT...NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY AND SOUTHEAST NEW YORK...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT...NORTHERN FAIRFIELD... NORTHERN NEW HAVEN...SOUTHERN FAIRFIELD AND SOUTHERN NEW HAVEN. IN NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY...EASTERN BERGEN...EASTERN ESSEX...EASTERN PASSAIC...EASTERN UNION...HUDSON...WESTERN BERGEN...WESTERN ESSEX...WESTERN PASSAIC AND WESTERN UNION. IN SOUTHEAST NEW YORK...NORTHERN WESTCHESTER...ORANGE...PUTNAM... ROCKLAND AND SOUTHERN WESTCHESTER. * FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING * RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE THURSDAY INTO EARLY FRIDAY. * DUE TO THE RECENT HEAVY RAINFALL...MANY RIVERS AND STREAMS ARE AT HIGH LEVELS. THIS COMBINED WITH SATURATED SOIL WILL RESULT IN HIGH RUNOFF RATES WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR MODERATE TO MAJOR FLOODING. THIS IS A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. This is going to be a rough end of the week for Northeast Jersey..thats for sure.
