i'm truly blessed to have had my first 24 years in New York, but I gotta tell you, the last 24 years, and the rest of my life will be out here. it's an unbearable 59, should be about 70 later today. you guys can keep that weenie shrinking winter weather and that nasty ass humid and mosquito laden summertime air.
Jon..have told you this a million times...you dont start under the balls...you start at the base..and that pic you sent out on facebook has you at 3".
Dont think for a minute Tom that if I had my choice..with all of this following storms stuff, I would leave here yesterday to wake up to warm temps and an ocean breeze. 7 more years...7 more years.
It's weird, I've seen this thread a million times but never come in to it. I didn't actually believe it was about weather, figured there was something else going on so decided to finally check it out...huh...mostly about weather. Interesting. I'm just outside Toronto in the Great White North. Weather isn't pretty up here at the moment, lots of snow and low visibility. Driving sucks. Another month or so of this is going to suck.
I don't know what is worse - our four seasons of Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall or California's four seasons of Drought, Mudslides, Fires, and Earthquakes??????????
Have you always been from up there NJ? Man, to hate snow and live up there..I get it though..I have said it a million times, as I get older, I love the snowstorms but now the next day is no longer much fun. Toronto or about...Im not sure I could take that cold weather all winter long. You guys start out cold in October to April? No way. Thanks for stopping in..we could use someone from up your way for spot checks...lol..good to see you.
Ok, the countdown for the storm of the century..sorry...had to put that in there..is on and its strike one...fastball on the inside corner. GFS and EURO both say close but no cigar. Strike 2 would be tonights GFS at 1030 and EURO at 1am Strike 3 would be tomorrow GFS at 1030am and EURO at 1pm. I would say up at bat is a 220 hitter with an unusually high on base percentage..struggles with the fastball and not feeling very confident...we shall see though.
j Jay,,,,,we got that switch hitter sitting on the edge of the bench,,,,and need I remind you that he has a pretty good slugging pct and he owns this guy,,,,tell him to get a bat in his hand and a helmet on his head dammitt!
correct GQ,,,if the euro or gfs dont cooperate he can just say screw you "JOBU",,,Maybe we need to sacrafice an animal ?
lol...we actually talk baseball..but the game is we use weather references. WEATHER AND STUFF. You guys have me cracking up here.
Lets wait until strike 2...maybe we can use Jonny? Would anyone really miss him? I love that boy...jonny is the best..but still...I mean...its a storm...
and this is in the discussion from the NWS. They too have seen the trends and are reluctant to pull the trigger on a flat out no for the storm on Sunday..but are not confident in a storm either: CONFIDENCE IN A WEAKER AND FURTHER SOUTH SOLUTION REMAINS LOW DUE TO THE FACT THAT A NORTHWESTWARD AND STRONGER SHIFT IN THE GUIDANCE HAS OCCURRED WITH RECENT STORMS. IN ADDITION THERE ARE SOME ENSEMBLE MEMBERS THAT DO INDEED MAINTAIN A DEEPER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CLOSER TO THE COAST. AS SUCH...WILL MAINTAIN CONSISTENCY IN THE FORECAST. DO EXPECT TO GET A CLEARER PICTURE IN SUBSEQUENT MODEL RUNS...WITHIN 72 TO 84 HOURS OUT. Also..the bolded last few words...I have given us one batter with a strike on him already...NWS is claiming there is only 1 out though..not 2 outs as I seem to be sayinig..so we do indeed have an on deck hitter and will allow for one more at bat if this loser strikes out...do we follow all of this? lol EDIT: And their forecast for the weekend so far indicates they are on the fence for North Jersey: From the NWS: Sunday A chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 31. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Sunday Night A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 17. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Monday A chance of snow. Partly sunny, with a high near 28. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
