Storm was almost a dud in NYC, only about 6" average. With the drifting you still see a lot of grass places. Pretty disappointing for the kids!

Finished up with 7.1" here in SePA. Not bad by any stretch. Had to drive the Armada to work today as the road are pretty slick and its cold as hell here.

Im shocked with those numbers gg..they had so much better banding then us and I ended up with 7...sorry about that bud! That really stinks.

CMAN...now that I didnt expect for you...thats a good number down there.

Now this blowing snow I have been talking about and the news has been flashing...a bit here..but this isnt blowing snow after a storm..I have seen that many times...this is not..so not bad out there at all if you asked me.

Some others may have more of it.

Overall, this storm underperformed from where I thought it would go..not by much..several inches in most parts. Talked about last night ....banding in central NJ just couldnt move north until the last 2 hours of the storm when I received 50 percent of what I got.

Sunday night/Monday might start out as snow for an hour...but then rain...perhaps flooding..and the brutally cold Tuesday and Wednesday...colder than this.

I think this storm picked up speed and moved over the area faster than expected.

Plus the wind has blown the streets clear, for the most part. The compacted snow is what is left on the street and the plows can't move it.

The concern here is when the temp drops and the roads harden.

I actually wound up going into work because the roads outside my apartment weren't bad.

But Brooklyn will know this: Columbia turnpike and Eisenhower were horrible, which is very surprising. Usually its the local roads which are trash and the major roads are ok.

great point..and tonight will be an ice box.

Here are some totals from an article I found:

n Bedford Park in the Bronx, 11.6 inches of snow were reported by 8 a.m. The Upper West Side of Manhattan had nearly 9 inches of snow. Central Park reported 6 inches by 7 a.m. South Ozone Park and Glendale in Queens reported more than 10 inches of snow.

In Nassau County, several locations had more than 10 inches of snow by 9 a.m., including Oceanside, Massapequa and Plainview.

Western Long Island had higher totals, reaching a food in North Babylon and just smaller amounts reported in Bay Shore and Eastport.

Upstate, Monroe, in Orange County reported 8.1 inches of snow overnight. Westchester locations had amounts under 10 inches by 8 a.m.

In New Jersey, Paramus had 9 inches of snow by 7 a.m. Bloomingdale in Passaic County had 7.8 inches reported by 7 a.m.

In Connecticut, Guilford in New Haven County had 9 inches of snow by 7 a.m. Darien, in Fairfield County had 7 inches by 5 a.m. Further south, in Elizabeth, there was 6 inches on the ground by 8 a.m.

I came in from finishing the driveway and sidewalk. I layered up really well because I came into the house sweating like a pig. Didn't feel all that cold to me. Had about 6 inches here in Fair Lawn NJ.
