All, hate to report the weather in Barbados right now is atrocious

Sitting poolside this slight 5 mph breeze and 85 degree - cloudless day is unacceptable.

    Cheers.

bastard...although that breeze seems awful light...check that out! lol

Just looked at the models for saturday night and that cold front is coming if faster and faster. Still not a huge storm..but we might have a nice view late Friday night and Saturday morning.

    Will have an update tonight!

Well....cbg..I know you said the local news was talking about the snow for Friday..I just watched it..they either dropped it or maybe Im missed it.

Its not going to be huge...and I wasnt buying it but the latest Euro model just showed a big change for Friday night/Saturday morning.

If its correct, something tells me around midnight we will have the lights on looking at a real neat site. Should be snowing..and snowing hard. While the changeover happens around 9-11...west to east.....by midnight everyone should be changed over to snow and it could dump a quick 1 to 4...broad prediction right? lol But its more west to east..west higher than east. Further away from the cities gets more.

Its all over probably before sunrise...but winter officially begins. Sunday night Monday snow/ice/rain storm..again..not huge but bigger than Friday storm.

Outside shot for a quickie on Tuesday night..then all eyes turn to next weekend.

Long term? 2 storms showing up before the week of Christmas at least...and they the week of Christmas...2 more storms? Could it happen? Could it be? I say yes..it will snow within 48 hours of Christmas. Can we thread the needle and make it Christmas even or day? Both.

Alot going to go down the next 3 weeks...the only question is...well there are two...cold enough? Strong enough? It will snow...no doubt.

Waiting for tonights models to confirm this weekend..and Sunday...but right now its pretty dead on.

    Nice type.

You should cool down a bit by Sunday...but I think by the middle of next week..a cold front comes through here that should make its way all the way down to Florida by Thursday or so. How cold..for you? Not sure..but probably at least a drop of 20 from where you are today.

Crazy thing is..if I had my way...I would be on an island my whole life. Can easily track the snow from there and fly up here a day before cman.

I really do hate cold weather...85 on an Island would be heaven for me.

I tend to get wrapped up watching models for our area...you see the cold air coming in from Canada via Alaska...but sometimes you dont get how cold the air starts out.

The midwest...lol..wow...Montana... -40 MINUS 40...NOT A WIND CHILL. This is some cold air entering the country right now.

Jay, on the accu long range forecast it's showing warm mid 40s around the 25th. Is there any chance that changes and gets below freezing for christmas or is there just not gonna be any chance for snow?

sorry for the quick response GG ..will be on later..accu long range? If you were reading it..use it to start your fire place..or dead on?

You just never know...lol. But yes, could be a blizzard and 20 degrees that day.

Will be on in a bit..CBG..if there are not talking about sunday/monday they are.....listen, im not going to kill them all winter long lol. Be on in a bit.

was talking about accuweather, I usually check the forecast there. It would really suck if it were just about freezing and raining / overcast around christmas. I'd rather have cold or snowing

lol..I was in such a rush...the storms between Friday and Sunday are pretty similar except reversed...friday is rain to snow...sunday night is snow to rain.

The reason I bring this up..Im checking out the European Model and Im checking out Sunday night and I start writing what I saw. About half way through Im saying wow...big changes here!! Then I realized I was looking at the wrong storm...lol.

Ok, this is your typical nowcast. Remember that word from last year? Nowcast...watching what is going on and seeing into the future 4 hours at a time.

Why is that? Because the storm on Friday starts off as rain but that latest models rush the cold air in faster. This means sometime between 6pm and midnight...west to east...the changeover starts. The sleet and snow will come down heavy at times until just before daybreak. The accumulations will stay down a bit because of all the sleet. Sleet just weighs the snow down. Still, if you are out and about late Friday night, be careful. Accumulations will range from an inch of heavy sleet...to 4 inches if a full turnover to snow occurs.

Now on Sunday...just after the Jet game ends..say about 4 to 6...the snow comes in. Snow might be heavy at times..and around 8 pm or so...west to east...snow turns to sleet freezing rain and that might last for awhile until all of it changes to rain. Before the commute? I would think so. The commute might be a tough one for those north of i80...west of 287.

Will check out the EURO tonight to see if there are major changes.

Future shows another storm next weekend...and then another storm 3 days after. They just keep coming..and will stronger than these.
