cbg...Im sick to my stomach over this team..so you might be right.

Here is what we are tracking. A possible snow/rain event for the 28th that one model gives a 50% shot at 4 plus inches of snow..will update that one tomorrow.

The 6th of December...a shot at snow..but the real show begins after the 10th of December when long range throws 3 different storms at us from then to Christmas. I really believe there is a good shot for snow on the ground Christmas day.

Will update on a more daily basis from here on.

Was at the game Turkey night....it ranks with one of the most disappointing games in my Jet routing career..which dates back to Superbowl day...69.

Have told this story a few times here at TGG. Jaywayne was a little punk at the age of 9...and my father invited many guys over for the game. My father had a friend...who was a monster of a man. Hate and feared him. When he walked in the door he loudly proclaimed that he had $800 dollars on the Colts. I had no idea about point spreads of course but just knew that I was, on that day, routing for the Jets.

After some loud cheering, my fathers friend asked that I be removed from the viewing area and my father told me to take my little cousins upstairs to view the game on a 12" black and white TV...which after some bitching I did...and took me away from the monster Color? 19" TV they were viewing.

The rest is history. My entire family are all Giant fans...EVERYBODY. And I stayed loyal to this team because that fat miserable bastard walked into the house and announced he was for the other team..or I surely would have been a Giant fan.

Jay,,,,,,,,,,,,,I understand completely because I come from a family of Giant fans ( minus the fat bastard ) and now like you have done it to my kids and like you have apologized walking out of that stadium to them . What I have said to my buddies all along / for years now is that when this team finally does win again I hope we can enjoy the ride but me personally am always waiting for the other shoe to drop,,,,,,see the Pitt and Colt games of 3 and 4 yrs ago,,,,they almost sucked me in yr 1 with Ryan but yr 2 although disappointed I knew we were gonna blow it but I stray:beer:
As far as the next few weeks, again like you I luv this stuff and a white Xmas would be awesome so keep us posted on all of this . Enjoy the rest of the weekend and I look forward to all these jet stream / highs and lows / snow things

Great stuff CBG....this is a shoe drop franchise, thats for sure.

Quick update on the weather..didnt look that far out but next week could offer a bit of a surprise although all models agree nothing over 6 inches...and that might be a stretch.

Right now...West of RT 287 could get plus 4...with a mix from NYC to 287...and rain east of NYC. Regardless of what happpens...precip breaks out Tuesday and ends overnight.

    Will update you guys tomorrow.

No winter storm warnings that I can see. Perhaps some snow advisories.

Depending where you are in CT...I would say east of 95 rain mix with snow...west of 95 snow.

But just remember..this is coming in very light in the models the last 24 hours. It peaked last night at a potential 6" for a limited few on one model but showed 4" on most models that showed all snow.

Todays models are even lighter with 2-3 inches. This is just going to be more annoying than anything else for those that get snow. And most of it will fall during the day on Tuesday with still a November sun behind those clouds so I really do not see any problems with roads etc.

I will say this..after the storm comes through it gets very cold and stays cold until at least the weekend.

Then all eyes turn to 12-6 to 12-8...now that has much more potential than this..but its still too far out.

I will be more careful when talking east of this and west of that when it comes to Conn. Although most of Conn is east of NYC..its north also.

Does your models show a 10-15 inches snow in the near future? :)

Nothing much cman. This is your typical borderline storm...I would term it more as a disorganized blob. Now it could put down 3 or 4 inches somewhere but for the most part a 2 inch event.

December 4 to the 6th is showing a storm but a warm one at that..the one Im keeping an eye on for our possible first December big storm would be around the 10th of December.

Long range models stills showing something major..but like a Sanchez red zone pass...it could get lost.

That is the time frame Im really paying attention to.

Some of the higher resolution maps that come out when a storm is close have come in a bit higher with snow totals for central jersey and the nyc metro area.

This thing could get into the 3-5...3-6 inch range. We shall see.

Early morning models have shown two things with this weather event.

Even a bit more snow and pretty much an all snow event for most...not mixing with rain unless far eastern CT or LI.

    3-5 inches for most.

The problems with early storms. When they happen during the day the sun behind the clouds is going to melt..melt..melt.

Not sure about everyone else but I have about 3 inches on grass..and about a 50th of slushy inch on pavement.

    Next...

Generally speaking...a winter storm warning is when they believe you will get over 6" of snow. A snow advisory is anything below that but above lets say 2".

They were predicting for the most part 2-4 inches but never came out with any advisories.....which tells you they knew this was a nothing because of the melt.

Yep...even in Bergen County. This one doesnt even count. Thanks for the info!
