Grandmas home in Breezy by the bay burned, we don't know to what extent. It could be gone, with the flooding. My family is devastated but thank god none of us were there.

If 80 home burn down at one time, wtf does the town do?

    FEMA? Insurance?

Does insurance cover the home only? What about all of your furnishings and devices?

    Horrible.

Worst part is there not letting us into the area, just emergency services. Hopefully tomorrow morning the bridges will open. This sucks big time

Shit... I'm sorry to hear. Hopefully it's just some damage. I hate the not knowing. I have friends in Toms River that live on the lagoon in Silverton that are not on social media, have not texted anybody so we have no idea. I have an uncle in Seaside unaccounted for and cousins in Point Pleasant who were ok as of last night but once the water started rising hav enot been heard from.

My Dad and I were listening to the fdny queens dispatch. They say the address we live at and say its on fire, what are the odds....... your heart just sinks. Praying for the best, but as of now 110 houses are burned and obliterated nothing left.

That's the feeling... I am now reading that Point Plesant Beach(my hometown), Bay Head and Mantoloking have been absolutely devestated. Homes swept off their foundations or ripped in half, sand dunes gone, complete and total devestation all along the coast from Union Beach all the way down to Atlantic City. That's about a hundred mile distance. Many of these communities will take years to recover and rebuild. I imagine it's just as bad in NY.

Oh man. I am so sorry. If you and your family could use a box of t-shirts and whatnot so at least you'll have shirts on your back, I'm sure I could put together a package for you and ship it.

Same goes for you too Barry.

Let me know. I want to help. Shoot me a PM.

I'm in Las Vegas.. it was 82 and sunny w/o a cloud in the sky yesterday. All my family is back East though. I haven't heard from some of them probably due to no cell reception but most of them should have been far enough from the water that they are ok.

Staten Island was hit really hard. Most people lost everything, I was lucky and my house was not in a flood zone.
