Unfortunately ARod won’t allow it. He’s the unofficial GM/OC/QB of the team. He’ll take a OL or WR at 10. After that pick he’ll let JD make the rest of the picks. And hopefully Bo Nix slides to us in the 3rd.
I think he is better than Drake Maye but for me both aren’t franchise QBs especially if they are rushed to start by a terrible team like Washington and Pats. They will both be top 10 picks I’m sure and that will give them a long leash. Whoever takes Daniels or Maye and starts them right away are asking too much in my opinion. If a team like Baltimore took JD and developed him behind Lamar he could definitely work out. If a team like Chicago takes him with their other 1st it could also work out behind Fields. Daniels reminds me of Justin Fields/Lamar Jackson when they were coming out so much for the good and the bad. He’s a 1 read QB that has excellent athleticism, speed and heart. If you watch him play his arm is good, really strong and can be accurate when the 1st read is open and or schemed open for him to make the pass. His ability to go to his second read is the issue but he makes up for it with his feet because he is a threat with his legs.
We had no chance of drafting him as he went too high but boy oh boy I loved him and after his Bengals game can't wait to watch his next game.
