You just said yourself that Rex wants to be here and loves the Jets. That implies that you think this will somehow help him be the right coach for the Jets. That has nothing to do with his ability to coach the Jets. For most teams it's a combination of coaching and talent. The Jets don't have the talent in some areas and they definitely don't have the coaching. So in this case, it's both a lack of coaching and talent. He has regressed as a HC and it shows with his team's record on the field. That's all that really matters.
