It's not my fault that all your points under the pros is for total shit. I live in Illinois and I've seen enough of Jay Cutler to know that he is nothing more than a white Geno Smith.

If anyone can list pros for Cutler other than "cannon for an arm" then they haven't followed his career even from a distance.

You know, the more this idea settles in the less I hate it. My initial reaction was burn the organization down if we got Cutler...

But with out weapons Cutler could be serviceable. I don't think we will cut Decker. I could see Cutler and Decker having good chemistry on the field... could also see Cutler utilizing Enunwa as a deep threat with the deep ball, Anderson as well.

Cutler's main problem is his drive.. dude seems like he says "Fuck it" and cracks a beer can open every time he sees the media bashing him.

With that being said he will also help us lose a good 10-11 games and help set us up for Mr. Sam Darnold in 2018. A cheap way to suck in 2017

it's a rebuild nobody is asking him to be our franchise QB.. just a one year Band-Aid.

    14 losses.

10-11 losses will get the Jets the 6 to 9 pick (again) and no shot at all at a legit franchise QB in the draft even if a couple are there.

    14 losses.

Get used to the idea. You can't half-ass your way to Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck. Nobody will ever trade that pick for any realistic price and they'll never drop below the #1 in the draft.

Unless it's the Rams : ) They may be our ticket to Darnold if they get a #1 pick. I'm Willing to trade however many picks they want for Sam Darnold.

But yeah I'm all the way on board. 14 losses is a must.

I would be ok with an incentive laden contract with little guaranteed money. Cutler's ceiling is way higher than Hack/Petty for 2017. As much as I want a high draft pick in 2018, I also want to feel like the Jets can win a few games early in the season.

Well, at least the Jets don't play the Packers this year so Cutler can't add to his 22 career interceptions (+1 in the playoffs) against them.

I remember conversations on the draft board saying the Jets should suck for a chance at Hackenberg. That was after his freshman year mind you...

Seriously, this Cutler shit needs to stop.

Will the Jets really bring in a 34 yo QB with a bad attitude, crap history, known to be a turnover machine, just coming off shoulder surgery on his throwing arm? Maybe if he was in the weight room and training like a veteran QB should. But this pic is from his (hot) wife's instagram from a few weeks ago::http://elitedaily.com/entertainment/celebrity/kristin-cavallari-jay-cutler-fat-shaming/1758783/

Check out the one she sends to show he is "in shape"

Not that there is anything wrong with that...

I think the media just writes these reports of "mutual interest" to troll the fanbase.

Decker and Forte will likely consider retirement if the Jets don't land a serviceable NFL quarterback for 2017.

Skewed stat given Cutler has been a starter in the NFL for his entire career, versus Shitspatrick who has started a total of maybe 3 1/2 - 4 years of his entire career.

But I get the point that Cutler is extremely turnover prone. The problem with Cutler is consistency. He can play amazing for 3 quarters and then throw 3 picks in the 4th quarter.

At this point in his career an incentive laden contract would put him in the negative and he would end up owing the jets money.

Let Forte retire. Saves alot of cap money and the Jets should go young at RB. Decker needs to get healthy. He may decide to retire anyway.

You get it, experience counts for a lot and you would think that because he is a starter he is just naturally smarter with the ball.

Fitzpatrick just stinks so you expect him to be bad, but he has thrown a lot of interceptions in his limited starts.

Cutler has just been brutal in the TO category.

Forte and Decker are still playmakers, something the Jets need more of.

I think Cutler just doesn't give a damn. I think he has to be surrounded by people who are going to instill determination to succeed. From what I could tell, he did not have that for long in Chicago regardless of who was his OC or HC. I'm not sure if the Jets could somehow make him give a damn, but he is part of a group of limited possibilities.

Obviously these qualities are not what you want from a starter but the question is who else do we turn to?

Chase Daniels will likely be traded or released by the eagles now that they got Foles on a 2 year deal.
