This reeks more like the Jets selling tickets and sucking up to the media to have them write back page fodder, than anything having to do with wining games.

And I thought Ringling Brothers went out of business.....circus is still in town.

I don't know a single Jets fan that would spend money because Jay Cutler is wearing their favorite teams laundry.

I want to see how much Cutler costs. At the end of the day he's just a stop gap for hack/petty/our20181stroundQB

If he's under 8 mill a year I'd consider it. That's my max for a rebuilding team.

I heard this before free agency opened and I honestly see it happening...I'm not watching Bryce Petty shit the bed for 16 weeks in a row.Petty is a backup QB...And Hackenbergs a mystery..

If you consider that his options are quite limited, probably.

    HAHA.

Petty is Vet enough for me .. and hopefully hands the ball off to Hack so he starts anytime between week 6 and 8. Draft a rookie in one of the later rounds. We are not going on a playoff run this year so youth movement day 1.

Yeah, it was so much better having an exorbitantly overpaid career backup making the mistakes rookies make because "there were no other options." Play the kids.

Cutler would be great entertainment in NY.

Fact is there's no better QB on the market at the moment.

    How much will he cost?

He is tough...but is attitude sucks. How long before a teammate socks him in the jaw?

We watched Fitz shit our $15M bed. Frankly not too far off from a rookie. That was a massive waste of money. Cutler is Head and shoulders better, but still.
    A)Can we reasonably afford him
B)Can he help and not hinder our rookies development
C)Can he fit in our long range plan?
    D) How are we ever going to find out what we have in our rookies if we don't play them?

Drama queens never become good role models, except for drama queen wannabes. Nothing I've seen from Petty makes him appear anything like that. And after what Hack played through at PSU, he's got a lot more character than Cutler has ever shown, if nothing else.

    Play the kids.

I think the attitude/drama stuff with Cutler is nonsense that still stems from some early career interactions. I can't think of anything in the last 5+ years that's of any concern.

The last thing I remember was people attacking him for exiting a game, but it turned out that he was legitimately hurt.

The fans dont need to find out ,the coaches do.They will find out in training camp and preseason. If Hackenberg or Petty sets the world on fire in the preseason then maybe one of them will start..Dak Prescot made a huge impression in preseason games last year.

This Cutler drama thing is more of a media created myth because he blows them off all the time.
