Looking like JT to NY » BY RICH CIMINI The Jason Taylor decision is taking longer than some folks in the Jets' organization expected, but they're giving him his space and it looks like they will be rewarded. The word close to Taylor is that he's leaning heavily toward accepting the Jets' offer, believed to be a two-year contract. Not sure why it's taking so long, but don't be surprised if it goes into next week. Obviously, the Jets want to know before the draft, next Thursday, because it could have a dramatic impact on their draft strategy. * * * The locker room is open today to media. The newest Jet, former Steelers WR Santonio Holmes, is lockering in the old Brett Favre neighborhood, adjacent to the equipment room. Holmes is next to LB Bart Scott, one of the veteran leaders on the team. Smart move by the team, putting Holmes near Scott and not far from RT Damien Woody. By the way, there was no sign of Holmes today. He's expected to arrive next week to start participating in the off-season program. Brilliant move putting him next to Scott, he'll slap him around if he gets out of line. I hope he does actually, just so Scott can get it out of the way.
I'll admit, I cringe every time I think about that pick. Not nearly as much as the Pat White pick though. Maybe one day I'll be able to laugh about it.................nah probably not.
What's with all you Fin fans coming in here talking all tough? Cant you just stay in your forum and talk about YOUR shitty team. Wait till the season starts, your going to get smacked in the mouth by the #1 defense in the league and one of the explosive offenses.
The thing is, Ginn isn't even that bad of a player. If the Phins had selected him in THIS draft, w/ the way their team is currently constructed including Marshall..he'd be a great pick. Taking advantage of safeties spying on Marshall for deep verticals and also as a punt returner. He was just drafted at the absolute wrong time for that franchise. They needed franchise ground breaking players..not a complimentary speedy # 2 wideout. You knew the second the shock of them passing on Quinn passed over that it was not a good fit. Quite honestly, If I'm a Phin fan(And believe me I'm not) I'm up in arms as to why the team is looking to trade him NOW...after the Marshall trade...when his speed will be so much more of an asset.
Yeah Ginn could be something really good. Just happy as a Jets fan he isnt. Who knows maybe he will get it. Kid is young still.\ Reports: Taylor closer to joining Jets April, 15, 2010 By Tim Graham
Didn't he pout his way out of Miami after the 1-15 season only to watch them win the division and then come back and resign right after that?
The dolphins trade 2 second round picks for a guy and they come out of their holes. I guess this means we should've been trolling ever since Tanny was GM. I am looking forward to Marshall's first book, "Stop running the damn Wild Cat"
