Yeah, that. It would take a sea change to believe a team that enthusiastically took a developmental QB at #2 would not take a developmental OT at #15. What they actually intended to do at #15 is anyone's guess - guess on Gibbs if it floats your boat; Bungler doesn't sway me.
Because the team is in a different place now than it was 2 years ago…anyone’s guess? Like no one knows? Or you mean no casual average fan who distrusts the media can do anything but guess?
Well, obviously those on the inside of the Jets organization know. How that relates to what this guy Bunger says in a Tweet is certainly anyone's guess and even he has done nothing at all to convince me - I'm looking for considerably more than a dozen or so self-serving words. When a guy's message includes an implicit "trust me" it's a good reason not to. Your mileage apparently varies. So be it.
I have to believe that given the choice, we’d have taken a top OT before a RB, but who knows. I get the RB pick 100% though…Hall will most likely not be 100% back this year, certainly not by the start of the season, and MC had a down year last year…Bam was a nice find, but once they let Ty Johnson go, it makes sense to get a RB to help hold the fort until Hall gets back to his old self…maybe mid year, maybe next year, we’ll see
I don't think its all that hard to believe that the Jets would have taken one of the running backs at # 15 considering that they went off the board earlier at # 8 and # 12. Breece could be on a pitch count this year coming off the injury. Gibbs specifically had more than 400 receiving yards and is a dynamic kick returner so he is basically a swiss army knife.
