Fucking Epic Bond film, did not disappoint. Everything from the opening sequence to the end was incredible. Love how they took it from such a high tech movie back to the old school.

Daniel Craig is such an awesome Bond, I loved Connery and Moore but Craig is right up there.

There were a few things I never saw coming so I really enjoyed it. Only thing I can complain about is Q, he should be an old wisecracking man and not some twenty something geek. Other than that I would probably go see it again.

What really surprised me is how English the movie was, no mention of the States, CIA or no appearance by Felix Leiter to give Bond a hand.

I guess and maybe I'm wrong and I probably am but the island they sail up to apparently is part of Nagasaki , Japan. There were so many good locations and sets, it blew the last two out of the water. I just loved how they made Skyfall such a dark place too which makes his quip towards the end so much better.

Saw it last night. Really good. Comparable in quality to Casino Royal. The best thing about it, though, is that it is filled with nods to the classic Bond films....embracing the heritage in a way that Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace did not.

It is not as dark as CR, but it follows the old Bond formula in new Bond world. LOVED the callbacks and loved the ending

What a fantastic film...I have to say this film felt refreshing and expanded the Bond lore into a more realistic capacity. I enjoyed it and hope for my Bond films with Craig.

Bardem was amazing as a villain as well...Very epic

Saw it tonight and enjoyed it. No spoilers, but it was nice to see an old friend play an important part.

I'm a Bond fan. I've seen all of the movies, and part of my job dictated that I research all of these movies heavily. I thought Casino Royale was great. Quantum was an incoherent pile of crap, and, aside from the opening car chase and Olga Kurelinko, it didn't have much to offer. So without spoilers, how does Skyfall rank in the hierarchy of Bond films?

Also, what is everyone's top 5 Bond films? Mine are:

    Goldfinger
    Casino Royale
    Live and Let Die
    The Spy Who Loved Me
GoldenEye (But really only for Izabella Scorupco. Drool...)

I've seen all the Bonds, but I haven't researched them and they're always an enjoyable watch for me.

I would say this is clearly better than QoS. It really depends what you think of the Daniel Craig as Bond and the way they went with it. CS was a darker film than older Bonds, and deviated from the typical Bond formula. It was a good adjustment to what movie goers wanted and it was a GREAT movie, not just a great Bond movie. It isn't as silly or close to some silly levels as Bronson bond, but there are enough cheeky jokes and wordplay to remind you of older bonds. Skyfall is like the old Bond movies in this new updated Bond world. If the remaining Daniel Craig movies are like this, I will 100% be ecstatic for it

I think Craig is up there as my favorite Bond. Skyfall could cement that. He's much more dangerous than the others and I like the way he plays the conflicted/mysterious tortured past character arc. The other Bonds lacked that and I think it is a very believable and realistic trait that grounds the character and makes him more relatable. I liked Brosnan as Bond a lot, but the movies were just so stupid. Too much emphasis on Bond babes and product placement. I also liked Dalton as Bond. He was a little too Shakespearean but also played the part more seriously and with a little more edge, aside from the occasional carnival date and ferris wheel make-out session.

I really liked Sean Connery. I need to rewatch the Bond movies to rank them.

I liked Octopussy and The Man with the Golden Gun which aren't too high on many lists. Maybe because when I started onto Bond those were the first two I watched (one of those holiday marathons)

Yeah they gave Daniel Craig depth as Bond. The older Bonds kept on getting sillier and sillier but it worked then. These new Bonds with Craig are darker and stray from the formula. I think Skyfall gets back to the classic formula but keeps it grounded in a Bond sense.

This was my least favorite Bond movie. The homosexual scene was one I could have done without. Too much of the really evil guy and not enough cool gadgets in this film. So I didn't enjoy the movie very much.

Interesting. A lot of reviews I read though there wasn't enough evil guy as he wasn't introduced until about halfway through.

You thought this was worse than Quantum of Solace and Die Another Day?

Wow by the time I responded to this, banned.

Yeah, Die Another Day is easily the stupidest and most ridiculous Bond movie. The World is not Enough is down there, too.

That's why the Casino Royale so refreshing though. A necessary evil was Die Another Day. I can't wait for the Bond marathons over Thanksgiving and the holidays. Channels have stopped showing them though. Hopefully Spike or Scify or someone does it
