If the Jets did get that, they would still lose.
We would draft 2 busts and a marginal starter, While Adams goes on to a HOF career.

Not saying Adans is definitely HOF, but if the Jets trade him would mostly like happen.

People who claim Jamal Adams is "just a Safety" are clueless and know nothing about the game of football.

How the fk is he "JUST A SAFETY" when he...

A.) Can play within the box as an LB.

B.) Can make tackles behind the L.O.S.

C.) Can be utilized as a pass rusher from right up the middle, from the outside with relentless pursuit of the Quarterback or from the secondary out of nickel or dime; while finishing on QB hits.

D.) Can line up and defend opposing elite TE's over the middle of the field.

E.) Has even been utilized @ CB from time to time.

F.) Can drop back into coverage as a natural Safety with both zone coverage (over the top ability) while also roaming the middle of the field or the flats (from the Safety position).

G.) Can tackle one on one within the open field with the best of them.

H.) His pursuit to the ball (regardless of which part or side of the field) is relentless.

I.) He's as tough physically as they come with an aggressive/mean/nasty/angry streak and style of play in which his teammates feed off of.

J.) I love Revis #24 but unlike Revis, Jamal Adams is becoming our version of Baltimore's Ray Lewis because his raw emotion and vocal leadership both on and off the field is blue chip. Jet fans haven't seen anything like it in quite some time. He's an awesome off-season recruiting talent too. With Pro Bowl, 1st Team All Pro credentials and potential HOF ability as an all around great defensive animal.

    K.) He's already a 2x Pro Bowler. 1x 1st Team All-Pro. And only heading into his 3rd year.

    Etc etc.

I can say "he's just an OLB who rushes the QB", he's just a Center, he's just a slot receiver, he's just an RB, he's just a TE, he's just a DE, he's just a CB etc etc but Jamal Adams isn't just a Safety he's a great defensive weapon and can literally do it all DUE TO HIS VERSATILITY.

Goof balls would trade him for 2 firsts and a 2nd who most likely become more suck Jet picks while Jamal Adams wins SBs and ends up in HOF as a legend. Goof balls.

Why even try and DRAFT All Pro first teamers only to develop for another lucky franchise and trade away? Just to draft another freaking bust? Goof balls.

I didn't say they were the same signs. Nevertheless, they're signs that things could go wrong.

Why does anyone think this is significant enough to mention? Seems like both of these guys have gone on with doing their jobs. Not worth burning pixels over.

Perfect reason to not read any further.

If there's anything in there worth reading just put it elsewhere.

Adams is one of the only good draft picks this team has made in the past two decades. By some miracle, the Jets actually picked a guy who has gone on to be arguably the best player at his position in the league.

Yeah, he's a little diva-ish, a little thin skinned, but he is a leader nonetheless, and is a proven star. Unless they can trade Adams to Washington and get Chase Young with the 2nd overall pick, pay him what he wants and make him a career Jet.

"JUST A SAFETY"? But yet, he....

H.) His pursuit to the ball (regardless of which part or side of the field) is relentless.

J.) I love Revis #24 but unlike Revis, Jamal Adams is becoming our version of Baltimore's Ray Lewis because his raw emotion and vocal leadership both on and off the field is blue chip. K.) He's already a 2x Pro Bowler. 1x 1st Team All-Pro. And only heading into his 3rd year.

If you consider Jamal Adams as "just a Safety", well then I'm sorry but you're completely clueless and lack any type of football knowledge.
