Instead of the dramatic exit, if you really like reading and posting here, why not just modify your posting behavior? Hint: Less is more. Believe it or not, the majority of posters here are intelligent and know quite a bit about football, and they don't need to be beaten over the head with statistics and repetitive opinion as though you're trying to win every argument by brute force. Stop being so defensive. Trust that if you present a valid point, posters will treat you with respect, even if they don't agree with you. Or, you can just go for the soap opera exit.
I know! But if he does come back, under the guidelines I suggested, he wouldn't be the obnoxious bore he has been.
As long as people aren't making it personal and saying stuff like, "your mother's a crack whore", etc, I don't mind seeing all points of view, even ones I might find annoying. We even ribbed DWC about obsessing on Adams and he handled it alright. He is nothing compared to some of the flamers we had around here from 08-11 where is you disagreed with them it became a personal attack. That made me quit the board for years because we are on the same side. At the end of the day we are all a weird type of Jets family. Were may be apart, but we suffer together. This season (and year) has been hard on all Jets fans. In fact, its driven me half crazy not rooting to win. I can give everyone a mulligan or two for saying stupid things this year. Certainly I'll need a few myself.
Bottom line is he went scorched earth on the organization over the months and weeks leading up to the trade. He clearly wanted out and got his wish. He's a very good player, but the Seahawks D hasn't looked good with or without him.
I believe he left for the same reason CJ didn’t play. They had no confidence in the Jets as an organization. Losing and not knowing how to win, two different things.
So does Alex Lewis get killed for being selfish soon too? Jamal and Bell got crushed but haven’t seen many killing Alex Lewis for basically being a selfish ass, trying to embarrass the coach in practice and, getting benched trying to get out of this train wreck. Not standing up for Jamal and Bell but just calling it like I see it. While not as bad as Jamal’s selfish bullshit, seems worse to me than Bell
Adams created havocs on defense last night and was used all over the field and applied pressure. They put up a stat that no DBs has applied that much pressure and QBs hurried as much as Adams. Adams is going to fit very well with Seattle and will continue to be Pro Bowler. Meanwhile hopefully the Jets will take advantage of the draft picks and utilize it very well. I miss him dearly but as I said before it was a easy to trade to do with what Seattle had to cough up. You can’t pass that.
Wow, Jamal had a very good game against one of the worst teams in the league! We've never seen that before
if you tell me what he has done I'll let you know? Tbh he isn't starting from a great position of strength.
I dont think people care enough about Alex Lewis for people to kill him. He's one of the worst players in the league and the OL improved while he was out. If the Jets can get two firsts and a third for him, he'll be on his way out as well. Honestly, if they could have gotten anything for him, he'd be gone. I dont get all the arguments over Jamal. The question was never if he was good, everyone knew he was a good to great box safety. The question was, is he worth it to a Jets team that isnt competing. Considering he was an asshole, and the haul they got for him, dealing him was a no-brainer. They're going to be able to potentially rebuild the offense this offseason, and trading Jamal is a huge part of that.
