rex likes to use jamaal primarily as an ILB, but is obviously more versatile than gholston. gholston has the potential to have more pass rushing ability.

Gholston is a BUST and will never be worth a fraction of the money he is being paid.

Since he is still on the roster I makes since to give him one more year, but if he ends up riding the pine this year he WILL be a June 1st cut next season.

I say cut because no team in their right mind except Mangini's Brown would trade even a 7th round pick for this hack. Plus his salary would be a joke trying to get him traded.

Even next year he would be about a 15 million cap hit but if there is no cap it might be a possibility.

Yep, he always shows up and stands right around the pile after the play is over.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

the congress only appointed $3 billion....ghost would consume most of it....but he definitely gets under 18 mpg (meaningful moments per game).

The one good thing that may come out of this is if the other 31 teams in the league buy this schtick about Gholston showing some signs of improvement.

Maybe we can con one of those GM's into believing Gholston has some trade value and we can get a decent round draft pick or solid player in return.

I know, I'll hear that no team will take Gholston in a trade because of the gigantic cap hit they'd take. And that it really has little to do with his performance on the field.

If the Jets could give him up for only $4500, the front office would be loving life!

The Jets pay him $4,500 every time he takes a shit, which is the biggest accomplishment on gameday.

Honestly, I think they're probably paying him a lot more than that. Even if you took 400 shits a year, that'd still be only about 1.8 million.

Watch tonight as Westerman continues to outplay the bust that is Da Ghost.

I predict another lackluster performance by our friend Casper...

I didn't break down any of the plays in the Giants game, but Rex has Westerman in the 3-4 OLB role a number of times against the Ravens.

Must be free shots on Gholston day.. Can't say he doesn't deserve it. The biggest factor here isn't whether Vern improves or not. The CS already knows the answer to that. The issue here is how much can they get out of him before his rookie contract is up. Yep folks, its about the money. That's why VonRyan is always gassing the kid up. He knows Da Ghost is hearing the fans and I don't care how big your ego is, when an entire region is calling you a bust to your face, on the radio, every chance they get, it has to have an effect so Ryan is playing the "I got your back" role. The reality is, Da Ghost will be gone after his rookie contract is up unless we can get Mangina to take him off our hands for say... Braylon Edwards and a 4th??? :)

Usually puts his back towards the camera so everything can see he IS there...

JK. I still have faith in Gholston, maybe it's guilt because I was so happy when the Jets got him last year. When he starts replacing Pace I think it's going to be go big or go home. I mean he should get this whole season to be evaluated, but those 4 starts are going to be big for him. If Gholston is replaced by week 3, that would be real bad and embarrassing.

it was a different move than a bullrush. That was nice to see.

if he gets one sack in the 4 games that Pace is out. I'll give him more than enough credit.

But i'd like to see him with a least 14 pressures in those 4 games.
