God I hope we don't go out and sign Bradshaw. There's something about the guy that I just don't like at all. About Goodson, I don't care if it wasn't his car or if he doesn't get charged for the gun or drugs, point is he was with the person. Meaning that he will probably do it again. Just because he isn't charged doesn't mean that he isn't guilty himself.
Idk man, I see McKnight as possibly cut or making it, only, on special teams. I don't see him as a part of the plan on offense, at all. Bradshaw, while banged up and a few miles over; could provide some depth in our ground attack. I see Ivory starting, Powell or Bradshaw (if signed) splitting carries. Bradshaw, could give us a few solid starts before he gets sidelined.
That's what I'm saying. I like McKnight, and if he's practicing as hard as he's talking, then he should be good next year in Goodsons role.
Actually that's exactly what it means. But that doesn't absolve him from being guilty of choosing shitty friends.
This turn of events did just open a huge door for McKnight. I can't believe it. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see the level of professionalism in McKnight's style. He looks really lost out there to me. I definitely don't trust him with the football. Ivory, Powell and hopefully Bradshaw. Powell (from last year experience) and Bradshaw (for his tenure in the NFL) are both known for being out a few games throughout the season.
If the gun charges stick he's going on a little trip. Either way, Goodell is going to suspend him a few games (best case scenario). This is pretty bad news for 25year old Goodson. Let's see....
Of course if he gets the gun charge then that's another story. Otherwise just fine him suspend him and lets move on from this.
If Goodson gets cut, Ahmad Bradshaw would be my choice. He's only 28 years old still fairly young and he runs hard.
due process i dont think hes a repeat offender, goodell wont suspend him until hes convicted or pleads to something ... until then, theres no reason to cut him
Going back to the "blemish free" year we all hope this team has, Goodson most likely is as good as gone. What he displayed was bad judgement in who he associates with off the field. The Jets already have enough distractions and are trying to get back to being a normal, stable franchise so they really don't need this. Rex absolutely doesn't need this at this critical juncture either. I don't see how they keep him unless he's exonerated fully. Hell, they let Braylon go for less and he was worth more to the team at that time, than Goodson is now. Just don't tell me the circus is circling back. Please God, not again...

And I thought he had a shot this year. From his signing: "Jets signed RB Mike Goodson, formerly of the Raiders, to a three-year, $6.9 million contract." I hope most of that wasn't guaranteed.
Calm down. The circus is hardly coming back. Players get arrested for shit all of the time. The only way a circus come back is if Goodson is not punished at all (and that's ONLY if he gets away from the handgun charge). I suggest not worrying, it's not good for you (I feel as though I"m the light to your dark haha)
