Who says Im using their sizes as an argument. Only you are. Again tell me How Tab Perry or Chris Henry are as good as d gabriel. How is Duo of C Johnson and Housmanetc.... better than R moss and J Porter.

Last year numbers C johnson 97 receptions for 1432 , TJ Houshman etc... 78 receptions for 956 12.3 avg C Henry 31 receptions for 422 yards 13.6 avg. versus R Moss 60 receptions 1005 yards 16.8 avg (again easily would have had at least 1,500 yards but waas severly injured after week five) J porter 76 receptions 942 yards 12.4 avg D Gabriel 37 receptions 554 yards 15 avg. Now Raiders Wrnumbers would have been alot better if they didn't start tuiasosopo in a stat game. check there Offensive numbers last five game. wasn't good as players gave up on that side of ball.

The Bengals have 5 capable wideouts. The Raiders have four.

    I'd rank the nine thusly:
    1. Moss
    2. Johnson
    3. Houshmandzadeh
    4. Porter
    5. Gabriel
    6. Henry
    7. Perry
    8. Washington
    9. Curry

I never said JOhnson and Housmandzadeh were better than Moss and Porter. I simply said the Bengals duo was one of the best starting tandems in pro football. I think the same about the Raiders starting tandem.

What I did say was that the Bengals WR corps was better than the Raiders WR corps.

If we just discuss starters it is about even. If we go three deep I'll give the Raiders the edge because I really like Gabriel. Once we go 4 deep and beyond the Bengals come out on top.

Well you've listed them about 15 times so I guess that's your argument?

Randy Moss is getting up there and is slowly being passed by Chad Johnson as the most feared receiver in the game. Housh is very underrated but I will say that Porter is about even to him. If I was a GM and I had my choice of a receiver duo I'd take Johnson/Housh because they're about equal in talent and because Moss and Porter both have an injury history.

Btw back to the original topic at hand - Jimmy Smith is a great WR and should go down as one of the greats (although I highly doubt he gets into the hall). Sucks that he was owned by Rod Smith most of his life and Steve Smith stole the spotlight at the end of his career... so Jimmy is only the 3rd best Smith of his era :breakdance:

You need to get Direct TV and actually watch some more football games. J horn a Very very good WR ,but no ones going to confuse him with R moss . Your talking about a whole another level. Let me ask you a question do you know definition of Great. First detriot has great WR group, and now the Saints. Guess we just have a diffrent definition.

Also now you did but size does matter. Ask Eli Manning what a Plaxico Burress can do for you when you throw high(don't have to be as accurate) I guess i just contradicted myself. Goodnight

No they don't Because a healthy R curry is defintly better than a Gabriel.
See you really can't use numbers beyond the top three because Raiders have some specialized players that are going to get some their chances. Alvis Whitted the burner ,who there to stretch defense( few passes going to catch are going to be long andf L Jordan who caught too many passes. (had something like 70 receptions)
Collins was so terrified to make mistakes last year early, that he was taking dump off to L Jordan, instead of going down the field to someone other than Moss.
Again this thread is pointless. We will examine this thread after the season. You defintely will no J Morant name.

I present to you, the quandry that is RaiderJoke
How indeed. I can't think of any way to judge the two pairs on an even scale.
What's that RaiderJoke? You say we should look at their production *gasp* :eek:hmy:

Wow I see clearly now RaiderJoke. You can compare them on an equal plain. You were right after all.
What's that RaiderJoke? Moss and Porter actually produced less than their Bengal counterpart in every major statistical category? Surely you have an answer for this is clearly a mistake!
Oh thank heaven RaiderJoke, for a brief moment I was trembling in the fear that is living in a world where the Raiders are not the ultimate best at every aspect of the game of football. You have clearly convinced me of my misguidedness. If only the rest of the Jets fans would follow suit! :)

DISCLAIMER: for those of you wondering how RaiderJoke could have possibly posted such coherent comments, sentences and statistical quotations, I confess, I in fact doctored some of his attempts at creating a logical sentence beyond a second grade level. However, I could not bear to change the masterpiece that is his closing arguments, so I hope you the readers can stumble through it enough to get the jist of it

Last thing on the Jaguars receivers: I'm pretty sure none of their receivers wears a number in the 80s. Only the Tight Ends do. With Jimmy Smith retiring, every single Receiver is in the teens. Kinda weird.

Oh, but remember. Randy Moss was SEVERELY hurt after weak five despite still starting 15 games and playing in all 16. He was just being such a team player and a trooper.

I think we are still laughing about you saying the 2006 Raiders offense would be better than the 2006 Colts offense.
