I can't take this seriously at all. There is no way you can compare the team we have now to the team we had last year. We've added one of the best corners in the game, one of the best number 2 cornerbacks in the game, one of the top 15 receivers in the league and we have a whole new coaching staff.
Rex is the one who is full of shit. The team had a losing record and looked utterly lost in some games (remember San Diego?). Yes he has the right to be upset about some of Idzik's painful draft decisions. But move the F on. The idea that he didn't get a fair shake with the Jets is a joke.
Looking forward to playing the Bills this year. Maybe Amaro has career games on that vaunted defense. You say anything Amaro you better back it up.
Rex being Rex. Hopefully our new coach takes the high road in the media, kicks his ass on the field, and makes sure Amaro has a TD in garbage time to rub it in.
the Steelers and the Ravens usually kicked Rex's ass because they were legit tough. Rex was all bluster.
People will always look for something to justify criticizing a public figure. This is why Rex was a good coach to have. His actual coaching, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired.
i said our defense was better, did you miss that? still our offense scored 3 points in one of those games or did you not watch therm? If you really don't see the difference then you will have a couple of bad days watching.
Look no one is going to bench their starting Qb (even a bad one???) for missing or being late to a meeting. But overall on the field this team was undisciplined. You know that by the number of penalties, time outs called because the team was disorganized and blown coverages, etc. And this was not something new in 2014 for Rex coached teams. There was a good reason the Ravens didn't hire him to be head coach. They knew what he would bring to the table.
Rex being his usual, un-classy, un-dignified, dumbass self. I hope that Woody learns a lesson from this and NEVER hires a brash, loudmouth like Rex again, and never forces a HC on a GM again. I hope the Bills do move to Toronto and we never have to hear Rex's fat mouth again. I despise that POS.
Rex is FULL OF HORSE SHIT...We did lack accountability! Look at all the penalties that past few years, there was no regard for any of the turnovers. No responsibility or discipline instituted on players killing drives on 3rd down with stupid penalties. This is clear testament of coaching
uhhhhh http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2015/04/rex_ryan_detonates_jets_in_bombshell_sports_illust.html
Amaro did/said Nothing that Anyone with half a brain Didn't Already know... If you need more incentive to beat the team who fired you, you Have Issues :/
Ryan received a contract extension but most of his assistants still only got one-year deals. That prompted ex-defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman—who now has the same gig with the Bills— to tell Vrentas this: "We could have gone and packed our houses, apartments, whatever, and moved, because we knew we were done. We tried to put a good face on, and we coached our butts off. But they didn't want us. We weren't their guys. We played out the string, and it was frustrating. And I think the players felt our frustration. Because toward the end I think they knew too." NO ONE told these assistants and Head Coach to agree to the one year deal if they felt they were going to get fired.. Coached their butts off? Maybe to a extent internally...But this shit never fully resonated on the field.
Exactly--instead of articulating his defense of these data including the GS debacle, he merely attacks the person who verbalizes what everyone is thinking. Classless and ultimately, ineffective.
The funny thing about the SI article is it does not cover the issue of Smith. Geez, it's kind of the 800 pound gorilla in the room with Idizk and Ryan, yet Ryan didn't cover that?
