Is the Rams DL Adam Carricker better suited for DE or DT? If he's a DE, than Glenn Dorsey is the pick. If he plays DT, than Gholston or Chris Long is. If I knew this would make mock drafts much easier... Interesting choice with Mendenhall to New England... That's too nasty of an offense.. Does Sedrick Ellis fit the Ravens 3-4 scheme? I like Harvey to the Bengals. I think he's moving up boards. I don't like Brohm 13th overall to the Panthers. They might even be able to get him in the 2nd round. If not him, Flacco or Henne, which are both just as good of prospects IMO. I don't like Dan Connor to the Steelers.. They just picked up Lawrence Timmons as an heir at ILB in the 1st last year. Larry Foote is a still a very good player and so is James Farrior. They would be much better off with a good OL, DE or a taller WR. I like Flacco to the Dolphins. That's a nice choice there and I could definately see that being Miami's 2nd round pick. Curtis Lofton has some similarities to David Harris IMO. Well that is one HELL of a LB core. The potential is through the roof. We would need to go for a WR and DB with our 4th rounders and if we can get a couple of good values there, we'll be in damn good shape. Nice mock overall..
As has been noted, those fellows were selected prior to the 4th round in 2001. Justin McCareins and Cedric James both were drafted in the 4th round that year. Both were property of the Jets at one time.
Jerome Simpson from Coastal Carolina is a small-school sleeper with good speed (4.47), good size (6-2, 200) and big arms and hands. Eddie Royal from Virginia Tech is a smaller (5-10 185) reciever, but ran a 4.37 and is extremely tough and could be an ideal slot reciever. Jordy Nelson from Kansas State is a bigger possesion guy comparable to a Joe Juerevicious with great size at 6-3 220 and speed (4.51). Donnie Avery from Houston is a slot-type at 5-11 185 and has great speed and explosiveness. Adarius Bowman from Oklahoma St. is a big #1-type reciever that is a boom or bust type but has the size at 6-3 225. These are just a few off the top of my head. Plus, I trust Brad Smith to continue to progress as he has in the past season and work out the nuances of the reciever position and develop into a better WR. Chansi Stuckey was looking pretty good before his injury and could also contribute... We should definately add another WR in the first 4 rounds though or maybe a free agent.
