Not a bad looking draft at all.

Do you think Maclin will fall to #17 though?

Gilbert looks like a terrific 3-4 DE prospect based on what I've read. And a NT that can be effective in spot duty since Jenkins wears down often would be great. I guess Sione Pouha isn't that guy.

Getting Brinkley that late would be a great value.

My only concern is the lack of secondary help. I wouldn't bank on one 6th round pick doing the job. We would have to look to free agency for a starter at CB at least. Luckily it's an outstanding class for that.

Like a 3 time Superbowl champ being taken as a 6th round QB?

Yes. Imagine being able to get up early, and rest Jenkins through the first 8 games.....

As the weather gets colder Jenkins starts to play MORE and the D gets Nastier, instead of what happened this year.

How's it going, PA ... long time no speak, my friend

I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner, but to answer your question, YES, I think there's a chance Maclin can be on the board at 17 for the Jets .. at this point I'd its a little less than 50-50, maybe 40-60, but I can see it happening because he's not one of those BIG WR's everybody covets nowadays, so I don't believe he'll rise into the TOP 10 .. I think he'll stay in that 11-20 range and I can see it being closer to that 15-20 range

Jabba, Electric and WW. What do you guys think of Josh Freeman? He's quickly becoming the "third" QB in this draft but I'm not sold on him as much as others. Truthfully, aside from the first big two I'm not sold on any of the qb's in this draft. I don't think Bomar's skills transfer well to the NFL, and Harrell didn't look good at the Senior Bowl. As has been well documented, Pat White won't even be a qb. Thoughts?

I wouldn't spend a 1st Rd pick on Freeman, but if I was a GM that needed a "future QB"....it's worth a shot in Rd 2. Freeman has a great arm and the body of a Linebacker. He reminds me of Culpepper, with better decision making. Freeman making it in the NFL as a good QB is a 50/50 chance. The guy has passed approx 8000 yards in his career at K. State, so he has talent.

One issue I have with Freeman, cause I look at the entire picture, he commited to Nebraska and then left Callahan "Standing at the altar" and went to K State when Prince was hired. I thought that was classless, especially he didn't even call Bill C....he texted him a message he was going to K St.
Character of a player means alot to me, especially your QB.
