That's because you really don't understand the sports term 'streak'. Which is technically an unbroken string of occurrences. Fail.
Now the chiefs haven't won a playoff game since 1994. So is that a streak of 16 years, or is it just a slump?
That's what happens with Herms and Schottenheimers on your coaching squad. I've learned to let go and move on.
True, but I don't think the Jets are as strong as they were last year. While the Chiefs are a completely different team this season.
Did you really think the Jets were that strong last year? Really? Because I don't even think Jets fans thought they were strong last year. Retrospect is really a convenient thing when you didn't examine history while it was happening. Face it, while the Jets have slumped this season, they have also out-performed their offense and gotten younger on the offensive line. Their rookie QB and rookie HC both have a year under the belt, they are actually stronger at the cornerback position and have better depth at runningback than they did last year. While they are weak at safety due to injury, they are stronger at the receiver position. I don't think anyone with actual familiarity with the Jets could tell you with a straight face that they're weaker this year than last year. They're more balance, but if you ask any of our rivals, the only reason we went into the playoffs 'hot' was because 2 team 'laid down' for us. Right? Do they have the top-ranked defense in the NFL? No. That's probably where's you're starting your journey of ignorance here. Nobody gave the Jets a prayer last season. After they beat the Chiefs, you'll be hearing the same pack-pedaling you heard last year. At least until we get shelled by New England a week later.`
score 40 +points! I think the revenge factor will figure into the equation. I expect us to beat NE by a score of 40+ to 35. We scored 34 at Chicago and their defense is better then NE's.
Stop the run and they're done? They have a pretty good TE up there and we can't get to the QB....so really, it doesn't matter whether we stop the run or not. We have to outscore KC....we have to outscore everyone from here on out. It's a race to see who can have the most points by the end of 60 mins. Holding our opponents is still the game plan, but in reality it's out the window now. And if we do make it to NE, and hypothetically followed the very complex defensive gameplan you've outlined, what do we do about the 15 seconds Brady will have to throw on every pass play?
The NE playoff game will bring Gholston's "break-out" plays of the year. No less than 5 sacks in that one game, mark it down.
We have basically no chance against NE, nor do any teams other than PERHAPS the Ravens or Steelers. I hate constantly playing second chair to that team, but, that's the reality we live in. They're blowing playoff bound teams right out of the building -- home, away, doesn't matter. Even during their immaculate 16-0 season they weren't as dominant as they are now.
Yes, I think the Jets played more consistent and were better last year. This year they are a very hot and cold team. I also think they are somewhat snakebitten by injuries and not playing to their potential. I admit that I have not followed the Jets closely this season, so I may not be the best judge.
The Jets had 2 three game losing streaks last year. Also, the Saints lost their final 3 games of the regular last year... and went to the SB, if I'm not mistaken. Being in KC,you probably haven't been following much football.
if we dont play like a bunch of scared vaginas i expect that rematch (if it happens) to be a close game. but thats a big if cuz whenever we play them we look scared to death out there
To be honest I felt better about the JETS post season chances last year...... they had a certain aura about them, and I always felt that as long as Sanchez didn't totally fuck up, they could and would physically dominate their opponent. For the most part that happenend week 17 to halftime of the AFCG then the magic carpet ran out of gas. This year I don't feel that way.... They have the talent, but I don't see the intensity. hopefully I'm wrong.
Beating the Rams and Titans 2 in a row is really something to hang your hat on. lol Already lost to Oakland in OT this year, I think Oakland will get the sweep.
Yeah, that was a tough game, no doubt. Haley plays with pride, so don't expect him to bench all the starters for the week 17 rematch.
