I tried to find a Woody thread so I apologize if this is a duplicate. The one constant is Woody. He fires a GM and not the coach and hires John Idzik. He hires a coach and then a GM and has both report to him. He wants to rebuild his team and at the same time stay competitive so his fan base wont bail on him. We draft a QB in the 2nd round who needs to re-learn how to throw a football, After 36 years of being a season ticket holder this is my last year at the Home Depot warehouse. Its never gonna change unless Woody sells the team. He's a wanna be football guy. Please go to the UK and ask your new boss to FIRE you!!!!!
Could not agree more strongly. For $635M, the City could and should have bought the damn team. Beyond bringing the team HOME, it might have made management and coaching accountable. Fuck this dipshit wannabe Jerry Jones character.
I know, right? Can't help but think about how things might have gone if the New York Jets were New York City's team, esp. playing in NYC on the West Side or Citi Field, etc., etc.
oh hey but he was up there kissing Mike Pence's ass all game. He probably didn't even know there was a football game going on
Well the owner is on his way to being ambassador to the U.K so maybe he'll leave someone else in charge for the next couple years so he can go schmooze around Londontown
Yep 0-2 when it come to terrible owners. However Hess was a member was a PARTNER when the NYJs won the SB in 69 which gives him a leg up on Woody
Well finally the light bulb goes off in your head. What U posted I have been saying for years but U clogged your ears up & flamed me now U finally see the lite. Thanks for expounding my theories from some years past
I hate to say this but I'm glad the Jets were humiliated last night. This team is bullshit and he's glad handing trying to get a political appointment. Here lemme show you my football team, aren't it and I great. No, you suck the team sucks and I'm sure if they appoint your ass U.K ambassador we'll be back under British rule in time for the midterm elections. Where we can all vote on a referendum to replace the Stars and Stripes with Tea and Crumpets.
if there is a silver lining out there, it is this. Woody was up there kissing ass and showing off his organization while the stadium was half empty and those that were there were raining down the boos. I hope he was embarrassed.
What is it about NY attracting these idiot owners. We have 7 major sport teams and the bulk of them are run by half flushed turds.
Hey Champ, your the only person who thought Woody was the issue. Its your world and we are just living in it.
Very true. It's not like Woody invented poor ownership of the NY Jets. To his credit, bringing in consultants to hire a GM and coach was the right thing to do. Last year at this time, we were all singing praises. In the off season, many warned that the failure to strengthen the QB position would be the Jets undoing and that turned out to be prophetic. I don't know how you go forward from here. The failure of this management to recognize the importance of the QB position is disturbing. To be fair, past Jet managements had the same malfunction. However, the prospect of starting all over with new management may be more disturbing.
