I was at the game, I am a season ticket holder, and I am also pretty disgusted by the general turnout at our games. The attendance has dwindled and dwindled as the season has progressed. It's really disappointing. I hope the new stadium will change this. This team needs a fuckin identity.

I thought about going down today, I bet you could have got a ticket for under $20.

It is an embarassment to this franchise that there were soo many empty seats when were vying for a playoff spot.

Actually, that's really generous of you, and I will take you up on that offer; if you're serious.

Secondly, I knew the weather excuse was coming. But, it's no reason not to turn out. You look at teams who have excellent fans... Green Bay, Baltimore, Pittsburgh. All these teams fans pack the house, rain, sleet or snow. Getting a ticket to one of there games is like a treasure hunt. There are people outside the stadium willing to pay exhorbent amounts of money for a ticket to even a regular season game. These are the kind of fans that this franchise needs. As fans, we're obligated to make it miserable for opposing teams.

First of all. I was at that game for every insufferable second of it.

Secondly, I'm sick of non-ticket holders, especially FLORIDIAN ones, calling us out. Go be a Bucs fan so you can support their attendance.

I miss maybe 1 game every 25, but I'm not going to sit here and tell people what to do with the tickets they paid 750-1300 for per seat, plus parking passes. It was cold. There was a blizzard the NIGHT BEFORE that this area only sees every few years. I only made it because my uncle picked me up in his GMC Sierra. Neither my VW and Mazda were able to move more than 10 feet from their parking spot.

By the way, the guy in your avatar is the biggest fairweather fan of them all. I've been going to games since '96 and I have yet to see Mr. Ed at a preseason game. Last year was a debacle season and he was nowhere to be found, SUPPOSEDLY in revolt over PSLs.

Obligated?! Football is a product, we are the consumer, it is for OUR entertainment, they provide for us, not vice versa. Sure, the 12th man has the potential to improve the performance of the product being offered to us, but obligated... no way.

Yeah, but those teams you mentioned aren't the Jets. I've been sitting in the stands watching them since I'm a little kid (I'm 37 now). I've had enough and am gladly refusing to pay $20,000 for the right to watch this team in person past this year.

Oh, and I'm serious - face value plus parking gets you my pair in row 7, section 128, I offered them to you first, so if you want them, they're yours!

Mantana Soss, you're absolutely crazy! I appreciate the shot at Florida, because trust me I hate this fuckin' place. But I grew up and lived in Queens, New York the majority of my life. I'm a Jets fan through and through, 4-12 season and all... Regardless of my avatar. Contrary to how you feel about Ed, he's an important piece to the puzzle that is our fan base. Also, what I have to say to season ticket holders with your "I paid for my season tickets mindset.".... Take your fuckin' names off the list. You don't deserve to be a season ticket holder. There are tons of people who have not been able to get season tickets for years, because of season ticket holders who like to buy their tickets every year just in case the Jets are good, and decide not to turn out when they're not playing their best... The weather is bad... Wahhhhh. Cry me a river. If I had the opportunity to be up there for every single game, I would be... In my seat 15 minutes before kickoff, screaming until my throat bleeds.

The fans are not to blame for today's loss, not even close.

This was the first game I've missed in probably 8-9 years. My family and I were prepared to go via train, but they were shut down. We couldn't have gotten to the train station anyway since our neighborhood wasn't plowed until AFTER THE JETS GAME ENDED! It took us almost 4 hours just to get our vehicles out of the driveway. 3 feet of snow is a pretty good reason not to attend a Jets game. Not to mention we live far east on Long Island and it's at least a two hour drive in good weather conditions. I agree that the NFL and Woody are to blame for today's turn out, I could not believe that this game wasn't moved. That's what Woody gets for not giving a flying shit about the common fans who support this team.

I consider Ed to be a necessary evil. I don't like him, but he serves his purpose.

You're not one of those dummies that screams when the Jets are on offense, are you?

Like I said, I go to more or less every single game no matter what. But I am a ticket holder, have been one for a while, and can see the rationale people have with showing up or not.

Yeah, I'd like a full house every game, but normally when you buy something, you get to use it as you please.

Fans have to pay. Players get paid...a lot. They are not worth paying for. Not with results like that.

man, if there had been more fans screaming today, maybe Clemens doesn't fall asleep while he's supposed to be taking a FG snap, or maybe Feely's miss right would have been push left and through the uprights what with all the air moving thanks to screaming fans. Give me a break.

There was a major snow storm. I'm guessing that plenty of people WANTED to go but didn't want to chance it. I guess it's worth risking your kid's life on the highway to watch a game to some folks, but I'm not going to fault others for having different priorities.

Now if it was warm, sunny day and people just didn't show up even though we had a great shot at the playoffs, then that would be worth discussing. But not in this instance.

Don't play the money card cuz, like I said, on a day like this you can just walk into the parking lot at the stadium and ask around and someone will be nice enough to give you their ticket cuz they couldn't dump it on any of their friends.

If you have a problem with the size of the crowd, go fill a seat.

Bottom line - the fans have absolutely no obligation to do anything for this team or any other. If the Jets want more people in the seats, they should advertise or discount tickets or put a better product on the field.

Either way, the fact remains that I owe nothing to this team except to always root for the Jets and to wear my Cotchery jersey on Sundays with as much pride as I can muster. If you feel like the fans owe more, that's great - go do your duty and head to the stadium.

Considering the snow storm was pretty widespread, i think its safe to assume that was the sole reason half the seats were empty. Criticize people that deserve it like Sanchez, the choking defense, Special Teams, Kicker, etc. Getting on the fans for not coming makes you look like a moron....

My original point exactly. So far, no offers from the people complaining about the crowd. Put your money where your mouth is!

What's face value? Because I'm poor.

Secondly, you're only proving my point. Why pay for tickets and not go? There are poor fans like me that wish they could go. It just sucks to see that the people that buy the tickets, don't show up. Especially for an important game.

Ironic that you criticize the ticket holders from your couch.

For the record, I blew off the game today. It was a combination of things: the snowstorm, traffic, stuff to take care of at home, and quite honestly not wanting to essentially waste my Sunday freezing my nuts off watching this team shit the bed like they always seem to do.

The bottom line is I paid for my tickets. Whether I choose to go to a game or stay home and use a little tomato sauce and cheese and eat my tickets parm is nobody's business but mine.

So in a nutshell, who the fuck are you to criticize?
