For those of us who missed the first quarter, what happened to Petty? How bad is he hurt?

He got hurt making a tackle on a Khiry Robinson fumble. He went low on the tackle and looked like he may have tore his left rotator cuff (non-throwing arm). It didn't look that bad, but the way his arm was positioned walking to the locker room, it was definitely a rotator cuff type of injury.

Thank God it wasn't his throwing shoulder.

hopefully, the Jets manage to get the Dallas Cowboys line, Ezekiel Elliott, Gronk, Odell Beckham, Julio Jones, and T.Y. Hilton so they can start evaluating QBs

To me it's clear he isn't the answer. He's not better than Geno and that's saying alot.

Too early to say this about Petty, but it was not a great showing these past few games. Let's see what another offseason does for him, but definitely can't put all your eggs in his basket.

Bryce has ways to go. But determining his faith based on playing behind this pathetic escuse of an OL is simply ridiculous. How did Fitz with his monster IQ and vast experience do? For that matter, Luck or Brady could not have done much of anything.
The only thing we confirmed this year, over and over, is that without a solid OL you can't win shit. If we don't get this fixed next year, and improve the secondary, we will not amount ta shit. No matter who we have behind center.

There is no one presently alive on this planet that can successfully play Qb for the New York Jests. The real test this offseason will be what Vet Qb worth a damn will sign with this team for a year or so while we rebuild what's remains of the Oline. Petty and Hack won't be starting on this team and for their sakes, I truly hope they don't play any time soon. If they're lucky, one or both of them will get either traded or released. God help the college Qb that gets drafted by the Jets. They'd be better off going to the CFL.

So he just left it up to Fitz to finish it up with those stats?

What does it say about how bad our line and our coaching is that it doesn't matter who plays QB, they get killed?

Or what does it say about our GM that all our QB's (who the GM acquired) suck?

I'd just settle for guys who block at all. That'd be better than what we have right now.

One thing is for certain, Christian Quackenberg should be active and ready to play. Fitz playing is silly. We should be seeing the Petty/Hackenberg QB competition.
Rather than Petty getting killed behind this junk pile OL by himself.
Him standing on the sideline is stupid. You learn more playing than watching. Football is a hands on sport. If Mac and Todd don't use Hack at all this year, it's further proof that neither of them know anything about football. If Hack hasn't proved anything at all in a years worth of being on the team to the staff to play in our last game, especially considering it's either Hack or Fitz with Geno and Petty banged up. If he can't play at all because he isn't ready to play in a meaningless game, All three of them should be given their walking papers. You can't learn a sport by watching it. You either play or you don't. If you can't play, you should not be on the team. Mac, Hack, and Todd must go

Hard to say with the lack of effort and bunch of scrubs on the line, but he has not looked good at all.
