comparing Kendall to Faneca is like comparing Roseanne Barr to Elisha Cuthbert.

In this league....you get what you pay for. I can't wait to "light up" the Pats with our run game next season.

Excellent work Tannenbaum....way to take the bull by the horns.

It is actually a 5 year contract for 40 mill, 8 mill per.Not that the years make a huge difference.

Yes! We let the OL go for years and this was needed to right the ship. Stabalizing the lines is the key to a foundation to build on. They learned a lesson from Kendall and it was expensive but at least they learned. We should have learned the lesson when we let the Giants take KMack for big money without a fight.

Now THIS is the type of FA period beginning that will make you excited for the following season. Unlike the last few. I finally have the feeling this organization wants to win as badly as we want them to.

He's a great player but a 40 mil record setting contract is a little ridiculous. The price of hotdogs at the Meadowlands will be 15 bucks. Still good to have him on the line though. Hopefully, instead of never replenishing the lines with youth, the Manbaum will pump some rookies from the draft on both sides of the ball each season.

So many people are quick to say that he's old, on the downside, that he's lost a step, etc. None of them back it up with any proof though.

    This is a GREAT move.....

How can any Jet fan question this signing due to the money and his age? He's only 31, Keven Mawae is freaking 37 and still starting!

Not only did we fill the LG position with Faneca over Montgomery, but we now have a Franchise LT in Ferguson and a future pro bowl center in Mangold,

Great 2 days for the Jets

If the Jets are good next year vs bad it might add as much as 5Grand to each seat license, that's $400 Million dollars.

Same can be said with comparing 1 million to 40 million and 21 million guarenteed. Put it in perspective.

Calvin Pace, Woody or Olivea....and I have a hardon for Bryant Johnson....that guy is value at a decent price.

And since Stallworth and Berrian have just signed with the Browns and Vikes respectively....we better get in on the Johnson sweepstakes.
