Yes! We let the OL go for years and this was needed to right the ship. Stabalizing the lines is the key to a foundation to build on. They learned a lesson from Kendall and it was expensive but at least they learned. We should have learned the lesson when we let the Giants take KMack for big money without a fight.

He's a great player but a 40 mil record setting contract is a little ridiculous. The price of hotdogs at the Meadowlands will be 15 bucks. Still good to have him on the line though. This is a GREAT move..... How can any Jet fan question this signing due to the money and his age? He's only 31, Keven Mawae is freaking 37 and still starting! Not only did we fill the LG position with Faneca over Montgomery, but we now have a Franchise LT in Ferguson and a future pro bowl center in Mangold, Great 2 days for the Jets
If the Jets are good next year vs bad it might add as much as 5Grand to each seat license, that's $400 Million dollars.
Same can be said with comparing 1 million to 40 million and 21 million guarenteed. Put it in perspective.
