That's hardly true. The receivers performed well, but I wouldn't exactly call Plaxico Burgess, Jeremy Shockey and Amani Toomer an elite set of receivers. If that were the case, Peyton would've won more than one ring with the Colts and Marvin Harrison/Reggie Wayne which was a far better combination than the 07' Giants corps.
Will you still think that way if Allen is sitting there at #6? Not me. If Allen is there and Mac takes him, I'll want Mac fired immediately, and as you know, I've been a big supporter of Mac.
I thought you were done?... I'm going to be a fan and just let the chips fall where they may. I don't know if they will choose Allen but if they do, I will go with it and see how the whole draft turns out. I'm trying not to be an over reactive fan, this team has had its fans on an emotional roller coaster, so it's time to decompress. I'm all for letting the process work out, there are so many moving parts to this team right now with all the assistants needing to be hired, a new OC. Cuts that need to made, FA signings. I want to see how the team is rebuilt before I get angry again.
You named 2 recievers I didn't and one I did, whom incidentally made one of the greatest catches of all time in a SB. How does this reinforce your stance?
Eli is a big game QB. I don't know how else to explain it. He's a bonehead throughout the year, but for some reason plays great in the playoffs.
The new season hasn't started. I said I would be done then. I'm still here some, but not as much as before. I may change my mind if I feel confident with the new hires and the direction the team is going, but more than likely, with the way things have been going, nothing will change for the better, and then I will be gone.
So another conclusion to the season, and the QB's in the final four are Brady, Roethlisberger, Rogers and Ryan. So another year its likely that the "Big Five" will win another Super Bowl. I'm really pulling for the Falcons and Ryan. I am tired of seeing the Pats, Packers and Steelers year after year.
