Aha. I do $5 or $10 parlays but for single games that I feel super confident my max ever bet is $50. But when my soccer team Galatasaray plays Fenerbahce on the road, I bet $100 for Fenerbahce to win Moneyline to ease the pain if we lose. And if we win, I don't mind losing the money one bit.
I put a thousand bucks on my draftkings account at the beginning of the year to play with. Once that's gone I'm done for the year unfortunately
Good strategy. My problem with a budget is I am an undisciplined bettor. That's why I got my weekly allowance. If I lose my weekly money I am done until next week.
In betting I believe a unit is traditionally 10% of your overall betting balance. Dawinner does it the same way I do. I use a unit to describe a normal bet (usually between $50-100).

What’s really neat about DraftKings is you can set limits on how much you want your max bet to be, how much your total bets can equal for the day, and then deposit limits for daily weekly monthly. Trust me, i know what you mean about being undisciplined. Plenty of times Sunday night rolls around and I try to play catch up. So bad
You can hedge hard and take the Titans ML or at the same number for $25 which will give you more than $50 total if they win. Or you'll lose $25 to win your initial $5 for $50 parlay. I don't hedge a lot so bickety, lon and @IDFjet would be better. I think I like the Titans to cover 6-7 tonight at home. I hope I'm not overthinking that like I did betting against the Cardinals but the Titans come off a cupcake get right game versus Jacksonville while th Bills are in back to back prime time road games. @bicketybam - any Astros/Sox thoughts tonight? You wouldn't want to hedge with Titan ML cause if the bills win by 1 you would lose both. If right now you took the Titans + 6.5 at -(110) for 1/2 what your live parlay payoff will be, your final payoff will be between 50% (minus the juice) of your parlay payoff and you have a chance to win your entire parlay plus the hedge bet if the Bills win by 3-6 points. For example, if your current parlay vaules a win at $50, now bet $25 on Titans + 6.5. If Bills win by more that 6.5 you win your parley (+$50) but lose hedge=$25 If Titans win or bills win by less than 3, you lose parley (minus your original $5 bet) but win hedge =$20 If Bills win by 3-6 you win your parley and you win your hedge = $100 - (25 hedge - 5 parley bet) = +$70

Lets see-- If Bills cover you end up with 129-50 = 79 If titans cover you end up with 75-5-5 = 65 So you either walk away with +79 or +65. If you're happy with that then its fine.
