It's now Week 16, we're on the top of the division & control our destiny, and I still have to read "should started Ratty this year so he could get experience" crap. God this board sucks sometimes. I'm as glad as the next Jet fan that we "escaped" with a win today...but our defensive playcalling stinks....not our defense...but the playcalling....big difference. I think we have great playmakers on our defense...but our retarded DC doesn't know how to utilize their strengths.
I said the season wouldn't have ended in disaster if we hadn't picked up Favre and that we would have been fine starting Clemens or Ratliff. Just expressing my confidence and support for our other QBs, so no need to get your panties in a bunch there chief.
Exactly. You are saying it'd make no difference (meaning we'd be in control of our destiny) even if we'd been playing Raitliff. I actually understood you perfectly. Presumably because he can ran really good and all that, if I am to understand previous threads on that idea correctly (just like Losman, lol!) I guess all I can add is ... okie-dokie, whatever you say ... chief!
Clearly that's not what I said or what I meant. I think we'll be a much better team next season and be much better suited to make a run in the postseason. Hence, it would have been a good idea to find a franchise QB to help make that possible next year, and this year and years to come. That being said, yes, playing Ratty or Clemens would put us in a different situation, but I think it's very likely they could have helped put us in a great position to make the playoffs.
