Scoring heading into the half was the highlight of my season ... shit can anyone even remember the last time we did that ...
There were too many drops, can't do that against the Patriots and expect to win. But - no turnovers, 12 yards rushing for the fins, and Calvin Pryor's opening 1st quarter statement smackdown set the tone. Overall, a wonderful performance. Most of Tannehill's yards came in garbage time so I almost discount the stats.
Lol they are bad but they aren't worse than the Tebots. Don't forget when we had to make entire sub-forum for the Tebow mania. Very few geno fans are like that.
I took my son to his first Jets game today. Even though he's a Broncos fan, we had a great time and it's a day I will never forget. We absolutely crushed the Fish in all three phases. I could care less about what happened in garbage time.
Dolphins lost, Patriots lost, Bills lost, and Steelers lost. And Gronk likely out for the year. It is a GREAT day!!
Let's not start celebrating injuries. What if it was our very own Muhammed Wilkerson for example being out for the year?
We are a bi-polar team and fanbase...If we lose next week, then expect threads of: "Worst loss in Jets history" "Toilet Bowles The Sequel" "Fitzpatrick should be cut" "Put Geno Smith in now" "Fire Mac"
Saw the footage, it doesn't look that bad. He will be back I think, similar to how Cromartie had a knee sprain.
I can't explain it, but you're totally right. When I imagine Gronkowski being injured, there is definitely a strange happiness. Sort of a guilty pleasure. And yet when I try the same thing with Wilkerson, I just feel bad. There's no happiness at all. Haha. That's freaky! Total paradox.
Not sure what happened to the start Geno threads (guessing mods moved or merged them) but the bums that were calling for Fitz's head owe him an apology. The beard had a great game today. You can say what you want about level of competition but he was accurate, made good decisions throwing the football, and made yards on the ground when he could.
Fitzpatrick looked like a different QB today - he didn't look like this when he played against Dolphins the first time. His long balls had tight spiral, and had very good zip. He consistently went after Brent Grimes - if Decker had an ounce of an idea that Fitzpatrick was feasting on Grimes, maybe Decker could have ended up with 2 TDs himself. I can't recall him delivering the ball like he did this week. He certainly didn't do that during his Fitzmagic days with the Bills or with Texans last year.
