Sanchez - 2 Straight AFC Championship Games Tied 2nd in NFL history for most playoff road games. Only Qb to beat Brady and Peyton back to back. 2011 was ranked 8th in tds passing and 2nd in rushing tds. His 3rd year has better stats than Eli, Big Ben, Brees in their 3rd year. And he did this with the worst RT in the NFL and no deep threat receiver. Wayne Hunter alone allowed 11 sacks, 11 hits and 32 pressures, 3rd worst in the NFL. Given he only had ONE year of college experience I think sanchez is already ahead. The other QB's came in more NFL ready.
I don't understand. Wayne Hunter was ranked 3rd worst Right Tackle in the NFL last year and had Sanchez playing skitish and running for most of the year. But what does front office do, they go after another qb. If Jets had a decent RT they would have made playoffs with a 11-5 record. I am disgusted..
And the QB is a southpaw. Wayne Hunter will be blocking his blindside. If Tebow doesn't see the rusher coming, he's out for the season by the end of 1st half during the season opener.
Which FA tackle was it that you think we should have gone after? Every half decent FA re-signed with their old team except for Eric Winston (and only 1 team can sign him) and every other FA comes with serious health warnings or is pretty terrible in their own right.

He was one of the few people on offense that got better last year. Hello 5th most TDs in the NFL? Yes everyone ignores it but its true. Sanchez was top 10 halfway through the season. But yeah Sanchez does nothing good. At this point, can it really hurt to make the offense a little more diverse? People like you should just leave already and take your piss poor negative attitude elsewhere. The sky is not falling, Sanchez is one of the better QBs we've had in quite a while. Still less than Eli Manning the previous year, and Mark also improved his TD to pick ratio. All we have to do is fix that RT spot and he'll take flight. Quite a few of those fumbles were from being blindsided after poor line play.
I wasn't disparaging him..just saying he wasn't as good as you were making him out to be either..he didn't have a good year and all you have to look at is the Jets 8-8 record to see that. The right side of the line wasn't very good and so far they haven't done anything to fix it but that aside he looked like a scared rabbit last year. His footwork was horrible, he jumped around like I don't know what, and when he finally did release the ball his accuracy was terrible..especially on short and medium length passes and that had nothing to do with protection.

It would have been nice to see the Jets at least express interest in Winston. The fact that they didn't makes it appear that they're content with the RT situation.
