We've got a young team, possibly our franchise QB for the next 10 or so years and $100 million to spend next season...whats not to be excited about
Truth be told, I predicted we'd make the playoffs before the draft. If Darnold starts, I may have to rethink that.
Sorry...this was pre-smartphone. I will tell you that she was a former Vegas showgirl married to the sax player(sometime leader) of the Dick Cavett band. She spent most days walking around the house in bra panties and a robe...and no apologies.
i saw my own moms tits once. wtf. you can never get over that. i will fight all of you today just because i remember that. wtf.
We have a pretty tough schedule this year but a lot of our tough games are @home Texans, packers, vikings, broncos, patriots. I can't remember the last time I felt this excited about our team not only because of Darnold, but the youth of the team Has me feeling good about the future as well. When you have an old roster and your not competitive that feels like the light at the end of the tunnel is closing '16, but when the roster is young and competitive like we were last year, you can see the light in the tunnel getting brighter. Now add a potential franchise QB this year & 80+ cap space...things are really looking bright for the future. All just in time to watch on my new 4k 75" tv. Can't wait
In the past two years I couldn't even imagine the Jets making the playoffs even if all went right. I still don't think we will make the playoffs, but I can at least picture it. McCown was on the verge of getting us about 7 wins last year with a garbage team. I see the scenario like this: Whoever is our QB surprises and has a good year with something like 4,000 yd 30 td season. Our running game looks better than last year with an offensive line playing well enough to not blow it. The defense looks much better with a top 5 secondary and we surprisingly get decent pressure. We do enough to go 4-2 in the division and beat up on the weaker teams. We win 9 games and grab a 6th seed. I don't think thats a crazy scenario, but I see us more along the lines of 7-8 wins but we look promising by end of the season.
I really understand all the excitement - I am looking forward to years of having a legit QB. But most of you are forgetting the X-factor, Todd Bowles is still our coach.
Yep, I agree. Teddy could be fun to watch. And it's not that I don't like Josh, but it's Josh. Seen this movie many times Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

As always, preseason strength of schedule numbers don't necessarily correspond to the actual experience, once rookies start playing, people get hurt, etc. What is certainly true, however, is that the AFC is much weaker than the NFC, which means AFC teams naturally have weaker schedules. The problem is that the teams they're competing against for playoff spots also have weaker schedules, so it tends to wash out. There are many reasons to be much more excited going into this year compared to last year, but I personally think the playoffs are a very extreme stretch, and are out of the question unless they go at least 4-2 (and probably 5-1) in the division.
