Lately, I have been changing my mind on what we should do in the draft. I really wanted to just trade down as much as possible and fill as many holes as possible. However, would if Chad does get hurt......which is a good chance.... then we have to draft a new franchise QB next year......that sets the rebuilding back another year.........what do you guys think?
this is the sh-- i am talking about. Vince young is going to be a franchise QB there is no question. D'brick is not a need at lt but is a franchise lt that is a must have and you can make the argument that offense is a greater need but if u going to rule out vince and brick then who are u going to draft unless u trade down and that is not what we are going to do
are u insane, vince young is a freakin monster, did u even watch the damn texas vs. USC game...i dont think the jets need him but my god thats just crzy
it all depends on who gets drew brees. if miami gets him, well then we're screwed, but if the saints get him, they wont be using their draft pick on a QB and by the time the jets are up there will be 2 QBs left which i'm assuming will be young and cutler. if u hadnt noticed, the jets are trying to get john kitna and/or patrick ramsey to bring in as options for the starting role or backup depending on how pennington recovers. i truely believe it would be best for the jets to trade down and get more draft picks to fill the holes they have, becuz a team like oakland, or a team like idk lets say miami will need a qb so we would definitely be able to trade down and fill those holes. and whoever sed that the jets should take deagelo williams, well u should just stop talking. the jets just restructured curtis martins contract and there is absolutely nothing wrong with how cedric houston played towards the end of the season.
They've been slowly invading this board for weeks now. I remember when this board actually contained posts of substance, even in the off-season!
You have to see the big picture. Brick can wind up being our triple threat Kordell Stewart type player.
ya our oline blew last year, we need brick. and since we dont have mawae anymore, we really need brick
I think agility and footwork is of more concern for stopping a guy like Freeny. Speed isn't really much of a concern unless your talking about blocking downfield in the running game.
so changing the subject for like a minute, is anyone else alittle upset that the jets havent done much of anything towards the big names in the FA market. the 2 o-liners the browns signed we needed. if we got the left tackle i forgot his name but if we got him brick wouldnt be necesarry
To tell you the truth, I think they could be picking anywhere. The Chad restructure and possible trade for Ramsey don't scream QB at #4 to me. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see AJ Hawk selected, although I think it's unlikely. The days of Hermway predictability are over, I think. Mangini/Tannenbaum were raised by steel traps.
