Evil I dont know where you received your law degree but NY Law School Professor Robert Blecker (a Jet fan by admission) says it's a lock...move on.
this of course ignores the "absolute power" given to Goodell in the collective bargaining agreement. You know the one Kraft was so instrumental in creating. The league just needs one judge that will say "well the players signed off on letting Goodell do what he wants so suspension stands"
Technically they need two. And contracts must still follow US law, making statements like the above a little off base. There is much more gray than people on either side want to let on.
I fully agree with your "grey" comment. Case in point them needing 2 judges and me stating one, the facts in this case are sketchy at best. The entire deflategate thing was a circus from the start. the league was clearly doing their best to muddy the waters (leaked info, over reaching conclusions) and the Pats just kept making themselves look bad (weird press conferences, Kraft stating they'd cooperate then demanding an apology, the whole "deflator" thing). The entire thing is bonkers at this point. But the fact does remain that Kraft was one of the largest supporters of the CBA until it suddenly was used against his team.
You pats fans want so hard for those titles to be accepted Just admit the cheating schemes and make a good act of contrition ......America is very forgiving This hubris stance by all fans and these so called debunkers is just making it worse
But this person filed an independent brief to the appeals court for this case last week. It is quite an interesting read. Have no idea whether it holds any water with the court. I don't profess to have a law degree.
hearing scheduled for March 3rd.. 3 judges selected are all liberal, which tend to side with labor where possible, so Br*dy lucked out with that selection. ironic being he's a Trump supporter.. http://www.inquisitr.com/2828142/new-england-patriots-deflategate-judges/
The 3 judges hopefully spent time reading the NFL ops manual and player contracts and CBA......it says Brady is suspended
You're the worst troll because you're annoying about hating the Patriots (which we all want to agree with, but can't agree with you because you're an asshat) and you just refuse to do enough to get banned.
The most GCOAT took another salary cap end around contract extension today. I hope that when Brady signs his new contract, he actually reads the sections that specifically say you're on notice for conduct detrimental and integrity of game issues.......just by signing the contract, you agree you can be suspended. Berman decided to rule and ignored this little nugget (on purpose)...... So here we sit today with the spoiled little asshat.
Today is just lawyers arguing. The judges might ask some questions, but they won't issue a decision for a few months. Then it could get appealed to the SCOTUS, but I doubt they'd hear it. It'll be summer before this things gets put to bed. And this has nothing to do with whether the Pats deflated footballs - It's about Berman's interpretation of the CBA and whether the NFL had the contractual and legal right to suspend one of its players for cheating.
yep, the judges are already well briefed before going in today. so today is only 30 minutes total, and it is probable the judges have their minds made up before hearing the lawyers. the judges can overrule Berman entirely, or send the case back to Berman with new instructions.........and either way Br*dy or the NFL can appeal......again. so this thing will continue to drag out......all because this crybaby won't accept any accountability for his actions. i have very little respect for Br*dy at this point. He's indelibly tarnished the league, and his own reputation. Regardless of the outcome of these appeals, it won't change that. Br*dy's a scumbag, a liar, and a clear cheat.
