I could see the Bills cutting Kyle Allen. He is competing with Matt Barkley for the backup job and Barkley has a leg up with his familiarity to the system and personal friendship with Josh Allen Kyle Allen is not gonna light the world up but he can win a game or two if he has to step in for Rodgers. I say if he gets let go by Buffalo you trade Wilson, cut Boyle, sign Allen and roll with 2 QBs only on the active roster. It would free up a spot for some of the more competitive position jams and who knows maybe there are some Wilson believers or JetBlue money grabbers out there to give something decent for Wilson
I think so too. Ideally you want your backup QB to be a smart player, reliable for who he is and well-liked in the locker room in case the team needs to rally around him Wilson is 0-3 on those
And for the most part have been spot on while those reacting to them like momma bears have scurried away with their tails between their legs without the honesty or humility to acknowledge who was right and who was wrong when all was said and done.
It never fails to amaze me how you misinterpret so much that so many post here. Is English a second language for you? Perhaps I should find a meme to help you to understand. Maybe instead of throwing targeted nonsense out there you should examine the entire conversation, from the point where someone had the temerity to suggest the team would be better off without Wilson through the point where it was suggested that the comment would get some riled up and then to the point where I made the historically proven observation that those who doubt Wilson's abilities have been proven correct every year he's been here, but those who defend him have been proven wrong and never stick around for the mea culpa. But no, instead of admitting so many of you have been so wrong about the performance of Wilson, the front office, the coaches and the team you would prefer to manufacture bullshit that I love to "shit on Jets fans." It should be eminently clear to all of you by now that what I have no use for is fantasy in the face of reality and the repetition of same year after year. Why don't you deal with facts for once in your time here?
Yeah! We've no time as an organisation for a late 30's, former franchise QB with a downward statistical trend and who has only one SB ring on their finger...........oh wait...........oh shi......
Of course they would at this point in time. Young had a great career at Alabama, and Zach struggled for the last 2 years. If Zach gets straightened out and plays anywhere near his potential, the reverse would be true. Young doesn't have an NFL arm imo. Young reads Ds well, is smart, takes care of the ball and doesn't beat himself, but I don't think he has the ability to carry a team ro bring a team back from a big deficit.
I never looked at it like that! Throw away the superior talent and all the MVP's and Rodgers and Flacco are the same guy!
Surely you jest! There dozens of better QBs out there if Douglas would only get off his ass and look! But as usual, the Jets GM and CS don't know squat about evaluating QBs.
The 3rd string Buffalo QB is apparently a better option even though he's never played in this offense and there's less than a month until the regular season
Well if we get desperate or injured enough there's still Ryan, Foles and Wentz sitting out there without a team as well as the aforementioned Flacco and even Kaep himself! If Rodgers goes down for 3 or 4 of weeks during the season but looks likely to return and we are still contending then I'd hope one of the above is on JD's speed dial.
Of the current FA QB's I'd probably have Foles on the speed dial as beyond his track record of playing spot duty for a contender in a green shirt, he also has the WCO experience which you'd imagine would be the basis of our offensive output. If however, Rodgers were done for the season and/or we're out of the playoff picture then may as well make it "Zach Wilson time".
