We should just go to the Red Bulls Academy and just sign somebody. Its only a few miles away from training camp. Im not kidding. Most of those guys kicked in HS or at small NCAA colleges. What are they going to do.... sue us?!

I get it. But I believe that Quigleys punting is so bad, that he is not demonstrating he is a capable NFL punter. Even if we roll with this guy for the rest of the year, the FO needs to cut him after our last game. We shouldn't even allow him to compete.

Just to add to the discussion, according to ESPNs stats, Quigley is 25th in punt avg at 44 yards, but whats really concerning is he is ranked 31st in net punting average. Obviously we could do better than that.

Not only is it our weakest link, but week in - week out, it continues to be the worst unit on the field for either team.
A complete shit show all year long.

The rankings doesn't even speak to how bad he really is. He gets absolutely no hang time on his punts and routinely shanks one good for 25-30 yards a game, and it's usually in an important situation.

His punting is going to be a problem agains the pats.that the way they play us all the time, they know how to beat us by field advantage. Watch, Jets need to correct this problem now if they want to win this game.

Quigley must have something on Johnson. There's absolutely no reason why he's collecting a paycheck from the Jets. Especially compared to the Cowboys' punter who was really solid today...

His 31 yard net average is a reflection of poor special team tackling. Speaking of ST's ,how come our runback team on kickoffs only have 2 guys in front to lead the way. Most teams have 3 and get 25 to 30 yards.

We need to fire April immediately, why do I feel like special teams will cost us big sometime this season?

As for the offseason, we need to draft a kicker, a punter and get a good return man, we're getting NOTHING on returns.

You can argue it already has cost us a game or 2, and a reason we may miss the playoffs.

It's pitiful that we have no one to return punts or kicks. We need to get someone ASAP this off season or draft. Cromartie might have to be the worst person to ever field a kick return, did you see this dude? He comes out and then immediately slows down at the 8 yard line. Cromartie has no business fielding kicks.

Special teams are terrible this season because its one of the few areas not addressed last year. Macc had so many other areas to worry about, general offense, QB, rebuilding the entire secondary.... he probably figured, "how bad could it get?" Well, Folk gets injured, they don't find any decent returners and it just went down hill from there. It will suck if that's the major reason the Jets don't make the playoffs.

I notice that, it almost looks like he isn't even running. Also when you factor that Milliner is hurt again (big shock), and we know Skrine isn't great outside of the nickel you run risk of losing him.

Todays was the worst by Bullock, missed XP and missed FG, I knew as soon as they called that bogus penalty he was going to shank it. I didn't even watch because my gut told me he would fuck it up.

I think everyone had the same feeling after the penalty. Is Folk out for the season? I miss him.
