I put a lot of thought into this today and it's still possible, if the chips fall the right way, that Sunday night week 17 is the 8-7 Bills hosting the 8-7 Jets for the 6th seed in the AFC. I realize I am asking A LOT to go right but with the way injuries are biting everyone in the league and Sam coming back for the "easier" back half of the season it's not insane. Consider this your healthy doese of optimism going into the weekend.
Yeah honestly we're a kicker, a groin pull, and an infection away from being (likely) 2-0 or at absolute worst 1-1. If we just hang in there and keep digging maybe the other guys will lose a kicker, pull a groin, and get an infection at some point. Probably not since we're the Jets but this definitely doesn't have to be over. We haven't exactly been getting rolled over with good fortune the last couple weeks.
Exactly. Every team faces adversity. It's how they deal with adversity that makes or breaks them. It builds and strengthens them or it destroys them.
I hate the Jets. I just needed to remind myself why sticking needles in my eyeballs is preferable to watching this shit half the time . . . So what time is kickoff on Sunday!
It's not over. And actually, I am mightily relieved Darnold missed the Browns game. Imagine if it was him being rag-dolled on every other play. I would probably have actually, literally, thrown up watching that. Let's hope the line can be patched up and function better by the time Sam comes back. He is the future of this franchise.
Apparently I'm not the only one who is STILL permanently scarred from that movie 40 years later. In HS I got in trouble for a smoke bomb/ marching band incident - and I was in the marching band. Yeah, it effected me. One of the only two movies that I paid to see on consecutive days. Would've gone for three had i been old enough for "R".
All I can add is that Leonard Williams looks fat to me ,,,,and " call it a day , sorry that it had to end this way "
Plenty of football game to play. 3 things to that I continue to look for every week goes by; 1) coaching staff making adjustments and set up better game plan? 2) are players still playing for Gase? 3) When does Darnold really return and is healthy? This is not a terrible team and can turn around. For me it depends what happens to the top 3. Playoffs or not, still a lot of work to do and time left to adjusts.
Yes its over...but people want to act like its the Lottery "Ya never know"...its over if we lose today.
It was over before it began. This team only marginally improved both sides of the ball but the core still was the 4-12 /14-34 group of mediocre players. The PR dept. went into Hype mode with the new unis and CS but the reality is they put a suit on a pig. There's a lot of turnover needed on this roster and it wasn't gonna happen in one off season new CS or not.
