Is the Jets Defense Overrated?

    Well. I'm glad we now know your criteria for what ELITE Is defined as for you on this topic.

    Elite to me. Is an all time great defense like the 85 Bears.. Which Is why I referenced that defense .

    I guess you can argue that some of these losses could have been wins with turnovers at the right time but the offense has been in position all year to win games and it just hasn’t.

    If you told me I could have a top 5 defense in scoring and yards against every season but they’d be in the bottom 3rd of the league in takeaways I’d take it in a heartbeat.

    Post-Jags game reminder: D is solid, but not good enough to carry this team.
    Jags had the right scouting and game-plan: get the jets LBs in space and throw underneath for YAC.
    CJ was exposed once again, great run-stuffer but a below average LB in space.
    Jets gave up over 160 passing yards to TEs and RBs.

    LBs are becoming liability to end the season. Need youth and speed.
