If you argue that he was more deserving of the 2022 MVP over Judge, you are over-rating his performance in 2022. Hence the term "Overrated".
My opinion hasn't changed on Ohtani, except maybe it's more sustainable. A ten plus year contract, he is eventually going to stop hitting or pitching. But after watching him more, he's definitely a natural hitter despite the upper cut. He can hit pitches anywhere in the zone and hit for average/OBP. BA is a dead stat and it shouldn't be for a power hitter.
