It may or may nopt be bothering him but he has always walked w/ a slight limp, I think it's just the way he walks. This may be related but it also may just be his natural limp.

chad is brittle, maybe he should drink more milk, make those bones stronger, either way, we know chad isnt the answer, despite the fact clemens had a horrible qb rating last year we did use a 2nd round pick on him, give him the job, we gave chad what, 6 years? he hasnt done it "yes i know i will be bashed he did well in 2002" but why feed clemens to the wolves after half a season with a crap line, doesnt make sense to me.

Chad is a wuss! Guys come back from broken bones quicker than this. TO played in the Sb after two months with two screws in his Ankle so this is an absolute Joke that his ankle is hurting him after 10 months. It is beyond a joke!

Chad played w/ a torn rotator cuff in his throwing shoulder. To say the guy isn't tough is laughable. He may not have a body built for the NFL but he's damn tough.

Good point. That is why this ankle is suspicious. It reeks of excuse.

He also drove the team for a TD against New England moments after hurting the ankle, when he could barely put weight on it. Too bad our D couldn't keep us in the game.

Tough? Yes. From the neck up.
    Durable? Not even remotely.

Reeks is right. This is an example the Chad Fans can't seem to understand, that their boy is not the golden angel they pretend him to be. This is purely self serving. He is preparing himself for what the public line will be if Clemens beats him out.

The truth is this is the NFL. Nagging injuries should either be medically addressed or, if they cannot be, dealt with as accepted part of the game of the player in question's situation. The bottom line about nagging injuries is that if they are not going to go away, it becomes pointless to imply the player would be playing better without the injury. It is what it is.

Frankly this kind of talk may appeal to Chad Fans who want to sympathize, but it only points out the obvious, that injuries have adversely effected his performance, and there is no reason to hope his fragility will somehow miraculously end and he will return to 2002 form.

I agree whole-heartedly. If this weren't true, then Daunte Culpepper would have a job right now.

It really bothers me that people give up on the season based on Pennington starting at QB. In the past, when he's had a good O-line he's been a good quarterback. It's not like we're putting one of our asses under center to take the snaps instead of Clemens. And I'll be the first one to say it, theres nothing overly spectacular about Clemens. I'll take a good head on a QB's shoulders with even better leadership qualities over a good arm with other things suspect any day of the week.

the mrs is just being the mrs. in his eyes Johnny Unitas' cadaver would be a better option to the player he loves to hate.

pennington guiding clemens, imho, would be ten times more beneficial to the future of this franchise than pennington competing with clemens. i have heard that the two are very friendly and i hope chad is doing the right thing and helping the kid along, but enough is enough as far as fighting for the job, especially if hes not 100% and ready for the field. he should mentor the kid and get ready to become a coach one day cuz thats where his career is heading.
