Im with you here. I don’t put a ton of this on Hackett. I wish he’d play more to Zach's strengths but I can’t blame anyone for trying to mask his weaknesses instead.

The good news is Hackett fixed the red zone woes over the bye week

just don’t ever get in the red zone

So, what exactly is Hackett's mission on gameday? Thought it was to design plays that work and be able to adjust on the fly. I could be wrong though...

What do you mean what is his mission on game days? He’s still calling plays and coaching the offense it just looks gross. I thought he called a decent game but probably wanted to see a couple more deep clearouts with designed check downs to Breece.

I’d like to see some more crossers too but meh. His play calling was fine.

Take the win. Coaches can only work with what they have.

Not sure if he is the worst OC, but he likely is calling plays for the worst starting Qb.

We didn't convert on 3rd down until there was 2:19 left in regulation.... we punted 11 times.
Barely any down-field throws... until desperation time.

It's obvious what Hackett is doing... he's got Zach on a short leash.

And I'm not saying that's wrong...

Hackett isn't good, but when the offense is bad under two different OCs and the same QB, it's pretty clear where the main problem is.

The play calling was absolutely abysmal. I have never really been an Xs and Os guy, and even I can sit here and pick a part all the things that they basically telegraphed to the Giants.

Aside from the bad playcalling itself, they kept rolling this kid out to the side where he has to throw across his body, effectively telling the Giants that they were only looking to that side of the field. And if that was him rolling out when he shouldn’t have been, then, they’re even bigger morons for letting him continue to do so without impunity.

Any OC, who has Zach Wilson, is going to be terrible

Jeremy Bates was worse, maybe even significantly worse. Heimerdinger was also worse.

Hackett is bad, but other than Marty Mornhinweg and Chan Gailey, every OC we've had since Herm started coaching (with Hackett's dad who was also abysmal) has been extremely awful.

It's so bad that LaFleur isn't even on the bottom half of the list.

So are we going to blame ANOTHER OC?

Yes, but that doesn't mean we're taking the blame off the QB. Zach, even though he's improved since last year, has not improved even CLOSE to enough to be a true starting quality QB. But the playcalling is still abysmal.

We hired Hackett to secure Rodgers, not for his football acumen.

Hackett just doesn't seem to have a feel for the flow of the game. Yes, the injuries certainly didn't help, and Zach made some more dumb mistakes, and the weather was terrible, and on top of all of that, the Giants D was damn good. Still, Hackett's play calling just seemed out of sync, like he was trying to be unpredictable, but all he wound up being was inconsistent. Maybe he needs to move up to the box, that seemed to help MLF.

It's important to remember that Hackett's father was worse than he is.

Can you name one person who was signed because of Rodgers who hasn't been trash?
