The reality of the situation is Mo Wilkerson is not as good as Sheldon Richardson or Leonard Williams. The fact that we have 3 players with similar skill sets has created issues and Wilkerson may be dealing with an injury, or maybe he really did lose his fire when he signed the contract. In the offseason I thought we should have traded him, but given that the draft was stacked with defensive linemen, the return would not have been as good. Not sure if there is still time, or if his value is as it was, but Macc should look into the trade market. There's no harm in admitting a mistake. If they feel like the return is worth it, and that it would benefit Leonard Williams and Sheldon, then pull the trigger.
I wonder where 101 is. He was Mo's biggest supporter during the time he was unsigned. When everyone else thought Mo should be traded, he was on here championing him saying he was a star and great player, yet since Mo has been playing like shit, I haven't seen one post from him. I'm surprised that he hasn't been here defending him. Maybe it's because the whole team has played like shit and he got disgusted and decided to take some time off. I hope he's ok.
I am pretty sure I've always been here ya douche-bag, but you put me on ignore cause you have a superiority complex issue. Mo has been injured and has mainly been an outside rusher, where-as he should be an interior rusher. Maybe you should watch a game or two. Don't be mad because you were wrong ALL off-season.
Oh please. His "reputation"? I know I'm a Wilkerson supporter, but this is a complete joke. One play blown out of proportion and that means he's suddenly a lazy POS that fakes injuries and dogs plays all the time? He played through the ankle issue last week and all he gets is criticism. Don't forget he's coming off an injury and missed most of training camp. The ankle is an unfortunately side effect. People are being WAY too hasty and harsh judging him in games where he could have played at an all pro level and the Jets still would have lost. Get him healthy and run some 3-4 with him and WATCH what happens.
And on 4 man fronts I would like to see him as a DT. A lot of the plays you see him playing defensive end on the edge. They aren't playing to his strengths. Him playing on the edge full time doesn't allow him to take on double teams and open things up for everyone else. IDK what Bowles is doing. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
