Trump has been bankrupt more than a compulsive gambler...and while I respect his accomplishments....many much quieter men have done much better than mr. trump.

The Yankee dynastys were built well before they started to win...and truly began when mr. steinbrenner was suspended from baseball and gene michael was put in charge of running the yankees..which included patience..developing the farm system..and not touching untouchables in the minor leagues...rebuilding is the word. Mr. Steinbrenner then became much more involved with moves on the team in 2002..and since then...the Yanks havent won. The Yankees have gone back to their system of winning..which means mr steinbrenner is back to being on the sidelines.

So big names and big mouths dont bring championships..and while im a yankee and fan..and love having him as my owner....its not because of his mouth or knowledge of the game..its his money.

Wow, No more sunshine, one week away from winning a meaningless preseason game, we lose another meaningless game and the darksiders come charging out of their holes and slaughter Mangini and all the new coaches. Man as one other poster wrote, preseason, enough said. Allentown Ernie.

Well to me a signature that doesn't change really doesn't mean much. I go by what is written in one's post. And when you claim that in the same paragraph that we need an owner who is committed to winning and bringing up all of the championship team over the last 37 years when Johnson has only been at the helm for five years it just doesn't wash.

Your point that just becasue a LT was drafted #4 that he has to be a probowl for 15 years running to justify the pick is a little off. Are you trying to claim that a QB, RB, or WR, DE, or LB that makes the pro bowl in 5 of his 15 years is OK but a LT has to be a yearly probowl participant? Doesn't make much sense to me. INMO a guy that can keep your QB from becoming injured is at least as important and a DE who can get to the other guy's QB.

Lastly, Johnson hired Bradway on the advise of the great Parcells. Are you saying that all good owners have never made a mistake in hiring? I bet the Rooneys had a hell of a lot of bad hires.

...I still remember it like it was yesterday. "I'm an old man, I want to win now, so that's why I am hiring Rich Kotite as the head coach of the NY Jets..." and the rest is history.

C'mon, seriously, comparing a guy with 3 preseason games on his resume to Kotite? He's got to be one of the 3 living former head coaches that have never been recycled since he got canned...

What I really want to know is why does Mangini need to be compared to the worst coach in NFL History? Why can't he at least be compared to Charlie Winner or Joe Walton? Come on he's at least on par with Bruce Coslet.

What pisses me off is the SOJ attitude and we haven't even played a meaningful down. I never once have seen Mangini or Tanny saying "yup this is the finished product that is going to make Jet fans forget about the last 38 years". Lets see CP's can be cut next year, Ramsey gone, Barlow contrary to what certain people think is not the franchise RB. Our 2 stud OL have yet to take a regular season snap oh and we are still transitioning to a 3-4 defense.

Man I was as anti-Herm as anybody but give Mangini 16 meaningful games before you start these posts that about as unfunny as a Rob Schneider movie think a bit.

My prediction is that come December this team will be alot better than they were in September and much improved from the pathetic team that was just playing out the season under a coach who had no intentions of coming back 2 months before the season was over.

Oh and one more thing.... In case you forgot Herm and Badway put this team in terrible cap shape and Tanny and Mangini already have done wonders cleaning up the mess left by those 2.

    UnF**kinbelievable!!

Go the http://www.newyorkjets.com/ link and watch the latest video JetsTV Jets Giants post game report. This short segawy contains all you need to know about this regime so far.

The one thing I know is that this team is headed in the RIGHT direction , and we haven't had that in a long time , unfortunatley its in such a state that its going to take some time to fix , so I guess we will be losing some posters on TGG until we start winning again.

first off more there was more good than Parcells taking over, Kotite brought in some good players and a bulk of the core of our '98 team. Secondly, how can one make an assessment of a coach after 3 preseason games? if anyone expected a smooth transition and a trip back to the div rd of the playoffs you are being silly. There's a new coach and a ton of new players, it's going to take time. not to mention our starting QB is returning from injury and our future HOF RB is probably done. All things considered our 1st units have done well in each game. The D obviously has done well and while the O hasn't scored they have moved it well. I won't worry about pts until 9/10.

This regime won't be jidged after 3 preseason games, they won't be judged after 3 reg season games, they won't be judged over this season. It's a process that will take years to measure. relax and enjoy the progress.

where is that "the sky is falling thread" when we need it.

The Giants are a division winning playoff team that got WAXED proper in the playoffs. They heve the same staff and key players now going on 3 yrs. I think the Jets played poorly sure, but they went toe to toe with a team that is seasoned and was really defeated by their own poor play, than the great play of their opponent.

That damn Tikki though, someone ought to just tackle his ass already!!

We still need more work. Chad missed one game allready. I assume Mangini will be playing the starters for a quarter next game.
