It looks like Kaepernick is done in SF. On Jets Postgame show, a common theme raised was that we need a playmaker at QB. Is Kap really done or was he just injured in Game 4 and just continued to play through injury. I think that he needs a new team and a fresh start and the Jets could provide this. In addition, we should, of course, also draft a quality QB pick in the event Kap is really done. As much as Fitz has been a trooper, I still don't think he is as dynamic as a healthy Kap.

I'm just throwing it out there because what NFL ready QB would be out there next year that would be an upgrade from our current situation. With our receivers and an upgrade at OL , yes I do think Kap could be better than what we have, while a drafted QB matures. Then again, don't know what he'd do in the Gailey system .

Wouldn't be surprised if Stafford or Rivers also becomes available. Don't forget they drafted Petty. Id want to see what he has before blowing a high pick on a QB.

How about some good offensive lineman? Our OL are just offensive.

Kaepernick's football tools reminds me of Tebow.

Didnt take long for teams to realize how to figure out his gimmick.

Only if we got him for free and he has a no strings attached contract. Yeah sure.

You would take Cutler over Kap.? Would we have the Cap space for a Rivers or Stafford? They ain't coming cheap.

    Cutler >>> Kapernick

The only cheap quarterbacks arent very good.

Look at Philadelphia and Dallas(when Romo was out)

We havent had a decent QB in over a decade. Stop spending on Defense and invest in our offence. Im sure u agree

I'm grasping but he's been to a super bowl...and he wasn't carried there by the rest of the team. Sure they had a fantastic roster but remember he was lights out and wrestled the starting gig from Alex Smith.

I think I'd take the risk but not sure at what price. A 4th? Would SF even go for that?

We always take peoples trash, keep them 1 season and let them go.

We've had alot of big names come through in the last 5 years. Just not sure who choses the QB's. It's terrible

Personally dont want to see any more scramblers after Sanchez and Geno
A nice pocket QB would be great

What about Peyton Manning? Apparently he's planning on playing next season (according to NBC) even if it's not with the Broncos, but obviously they'll want to move on from him.

He's a decent fit for Chan's system but much more importantly than that I'd love Petty (and a rookie) to spend an entire offseason learning from him, then we can start them and see what they've learned when Peyton inevitably gets hurt.

So your plan is sign a QB that you know is going to inevitably get hurt in hopes that your backup QB will learn something. LMAO.

And how is this thread for real? Kaep just got benched for the year in favor of BLAINE GABBERT.
