he also had a penalty, got away w/ a couple of penalties and beat cro multiple times when passes were not completed. he was AWFUl agaianst Pitt.
omg this is hilarious. A quarterback's job is to get the ball to the open receiver Apparently that is not true with one Antonio Cromartie, aka the luckiest CB in the NFL Though constantly torched, burned, etc, magically QBs either make poor throws or decide to go another direction
Good thing he held him out of the EZ huh? Otherwise he might've been cut after such a terrible performance. I wonder what those teams did to their CB's that allowed him to have multiple TD games. NE should've cut McCourty!!!
The cherry picked game just shows how the #s are meaningless. Again, 3 recs looks good on paper. if you watched the game you'd know he was terrible. Why didn't you tell me you didn't recall the Pitt game last week when we were discussing it or the last few days when you have avoided answering my question? It is interesting how the story always changes. Trying again to deflect w/ the manning comment.
So you have to allow TDs to have a bad game? never mind bug 3rd down conversions or other big catches that set up points they have to be TDs?
No junc, you see over the course of the season, if it were really true that he were continually getting burned and continually getting targeted he would surely be giving up a much worse completion percentage. This is very simple, basic logic that I'm sure you can understand. You just refuse to acknowledge it because it proves you are completely wrong. Me not responding to his performance vs. Pitt is irrelevant. You are just grasping at straws to try and win a losing argument.
My reputation is based on knowing this game. I don't just throw out #s, I post them in the right context. It's why I know Brady is better than Manning depsite the better #s from peyton. #s tell part of the story. I apologize for not wearing my jets underoos and shaking pom poms while the Jets are playing. I speak the truth, some people can handle it while the homers cannot.
You running from the pitt question helps prove my argument b/c you know it smashes your weak argument to pieces. Sure it's just one game but the #s show he had a good game but in reality we know that not to be true and that can be applied to the rest of the season. The rpeutation is that he is a top corner, we know that isn't true- doesn't that make him overrated?
Save it junc, you've been completely owned in this thread. You're delusional if you think you've smashed anything to pieces. He's one of the better #2 CB's in the league. Anyone thinking he's a shutdown corner is overrating him.
apology accepted. i don't know junc, i just can't see how one cannot be at the very least satisfied with his play this year. he's been a difference maker, i think you have Revis only glasses on, and they are hard not to wear, i'll give you that, but what more could the jets have asked of cro this year taken the season as a whole?
Yes I have been owned b/c you posted some stats w/ context then refused to discuss the Pitt game where you offered 3 different excuses about the pitt game: #1 after your #s were debunked you then used the Ben had too much time excuse. #2 after I noted how ward did nothing was how they played zone #3 was that you didn't remember the game. Isn't it amazing it took you days to figure all of those new excuses out? The bottom line is the man is overrated. too many people think he is one of the better Corners in the game and that is not the case obviously. he's nothing more than an average corner that has elite talent.
I guess I have higher standards, outside of the 2nd half against NE when has he been a difference maker this season? Our D is much worse than last year, part due to no pass rush and part due to poor coverage. The 2 guys brought in to help in those areas did not do enough(Taylor, Cro) so can you see why I am disappointed in those 2? I still root for them, I hope they have great postseasons and help us win but they both had disappointing seasons and I hope we are not foolish enough to overpay cromartie to stay which could cost us either edwards or holmes who are both much more valuable players to our team.
the numbers haven't been debunked, you just refuse to understand facts. The fact that Ben had a lot of time is another one you seem to have trouble with. lmao - me mentioning I thought they played more zone than normal had nothing to do with something you said about Ward. I don't even know if that's true, it's something I seem to remember. Of course Ward would be shut down if Revis was covering him. None of them are excuses for anything junc. You are trying to make it sound like I'm backpeddling when I never have and because you can't argue against the facts. It's typical of your lame strawman arguments. I have repeatedly said that even if he had a poor performance agaisnt pitt, it's irrelevant. I've repeatedly explained why it's irrelevant. I've repeatedly used logic and facts to explain this to you. You've repeatedly ignored facts, cherry picked games and made up lame strawman arguments. You're very confused junc.
They have, anyone w/ eyes who has bsic football knowledge understand he was abused at Pitt. Ben had alot of time, how come ward was silent? You have backpedaled. w/ each new day a new excuse emerges. How come none of those excuses were offered up when we first started discussing this? It's not irrelevant that he was awful against pitt b/c the #s you posted show he had a good game. How can that be since the #s tell us everything?
